The location and space

Enjoyed the stay with real sense of quiet and peace. Stunning scenery and surrounds make it worth every minute for a get away. The flat gave us a real outback style experience with the amenities and basic appliances. Will be back and with friends

We really enjoyed how secluded we felt on the property. We took our dog with and didn't need to worry about any safety issues. We wanted something simple and that's what we got; modest and peaceful.

We needed rest and this was exactly what we got. The limited facilities made us go back to basics and we enjoyed the surrounding so much. FREEDOM is key here. Just enjoyed getting back to basics and switching of from the everyday rush.

If you want absolute peace and quiet with no one around for miles, this is the place for you. The property seems a bit run down, but when you walk out on the patio and see the amazing view and hear the variety of bird sounds, you realize that you didn't come to experience a five-star boutique hotel, but to be in a secluded spot in nature. Just make sure you pack all the essentials, as you are nowhere near a shop/restaurant/facilities.

Loved the serenity and tranquility in the beautiful Aurora Mountains with only the sounds of nature (birds and wind). Thank you for the generous supply of wood and gas for cooking. Thanks to this accommodation, we discovered for the first time, the beautiful Aurora mountains!

The location is great, beautiful. And it is quiet and isolated. The afdak with the Braai is very good. The wifi is an added bonus.

Perfect gettaway. Value for money. Beautiful area. Very nice host. Beautiful with lots of birds in the area.

It was a fantastic stay, the only thing I would suggest is that the owner should inform you that the location might not be reachable by car, a bakkie/suv would be best as the road is quite hectic. Besides that it was a great stay. If you are used to camping this is a good get away. Owner is extremely nice as well.

“It was like camping, but in the comfort of a cottage.”

Loved the location. Being close to nature. Great that our dogs could join us. Roderick was helpful and supplied wood. Loved the fact that the cottage was off the grid: Solar electricity and gas geyser ( hot shower). We mostly used candles at night. Cheapest breakaway ever! We have already booked 2 more weekends at this cottage.
