Overview
This hotel is set in a 19th century renovated farmhouse. It is located in an alpine village, 3 kilometres from the Auris-en-Oisans Ski Resort and the ski lifts for the Alpe d’Huez slopes. It offers free Wi-Fi and magnificent views of the Meije Mountain. The chalet-style guest rooms at the Auberge De La Foret all have private bathrooms and some have balconies. The Auberge has a beautiful restaurant with fireplace which serves traditional regional cuisine, as well as a bar. Guests can also relax on the outdoor terrace. The Auberge De La Foret is in close proximity to the Ecrins National Park, where guests can enjoy hiking and cycling.

“Really lovely Xmas stay.”
The breakfast was lovely and fresh everyday. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The evening meals were typical French food - fresh and wholesome. The hotel owner and staff were extremely helpful and took us to and from the ski station themselves everyday.

“Fantastique! A true gem in the French Alps”
Exceptional auberge in a tiny village with breathtaking views into the mountains. The wooden auberge itself is lovely to the max - our room No.8 had a nice balcony (to watch the night sky is an unforgettable experience in itself), comfy beds and everything you need. Space is, of course, limited - this is an auberge in the mountains. The food was impeccable - awesome breakfast with specialties from the region, dinner almost reaching Michelin heights (I kid you not!). Virginnie and her staff are super friendly, helpful and manage the auberge with an incredible personal touch. We initially booked for two nights, but decided - on the spot - to book another night. That should speak for itself.

Everything was amazing! The location, the hospitality, food, fire, wine, atmosphere….VIRGINIE is the most incredible host and the other VIRGINIE is equally as amazing! We felt like family….which made it hard to leave even after only 5 days! We will absolutely, certainly be back! Auberge de La Foret made our family holiday one of the best yet. Thank you - your auberge is beautiful and what you have created is wonderful. We loved it every minute!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cozy auberge in the snowy mountains. The location is stunning, offering peaceful views and a truly charming atmosphere. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Dinner was delicious and satisfying, and breakfast had everything we needed to start our day well. It’s a perfect spot for a cozy family getaway, and we’d love to return!

A good selection of food for breakfast and fantastic evening meals. Friendly staff and wonderful location. No onsite parking but that was for all of the village due to its location.
