Dating from 1737, this historic hotel in Aumühle is set near the pretty Mühlenteich lake and Sachsenwald forest, just a 20-minute city rail ride from Hamburg. A former hunting castle, the Hotel Waldesruh am See has been in the Bismarck family’s possession since 1896. The elegantly furnished rooms feature selected antiques. “Great escape from the big city, still easy to reach by train”
Exceptional friendly crew! It's an old house but with a lot of charm and very well maintained including power outlets as needed and other thoughtful touches. Breakfast is not cheap but of excellent quality.

Very well located in a quiet area, private parking space, a warm welcome by the friendly staff, a nice, big and comfy room wit a clean bathroom. Good functioning WiFi and a restaurant with a superb terrace that offers delicious food.
