Great location, facilities were basic but had everything you need. Great value for money and staff were very helpful, even allowed a late check out for us which we greatly appreciated.

Large kitchens and plenty of toilets and showers. I had a private room which was spacious and had lots of storage. The staff were very friendly and helpful with queries and luggage storage. ^_^ one lady also helped me take my suitcase down the stairs to the taxi Close to bus stops and a fairly short walk to the city centre Very close to a lovely arcade with Bestie cafe and can walk through Myers Park to get to the city on a sunny day

Oh, I really enjoyed my stay at K Road City Hostel! The staff? Super friendly, like, genuinely nice and helpful. The kitchen? Perfect for cooking, had everything I needed. And the terrace? Such a nice place to chill. Everything was clean, tidy, you know, just how you’d want it. My room was good, had three beds, and honestly, the bed was really comfy. I slept great, no issues there. Just overall, a really solid place.

Sorry but I had a horrible experience with them. I actually never got the room I paid for, it was always something else (they even said I got an "upgrade", not sure it felt like that). I really paid attention NOT to book a room with fan as I have chronic illness. When I was transferred to a room, there was this HUGE industrial fan on the floor which I didnt realize it first, and unfortunately the rude woman who stayed in my room insisted on having it run ALL night. It was so incredibly LOUD and made the room so cold (which was already cold as I was freezing), I ended up staying ALL night in the kitchen. I understand this happened at midnight so they were not available when I called, but when I said it in the morning, they showed little empathy. I immediately left the hostel in the morning very angry and since I paid for another night, of course I wanted to have my money back for the unused night. They rejected simply because its not their fault that I cannot get along with my roomate... Well, if you would be really that kind of person, at least the minimum what would be to give back the money for the night I didnt even stayed there. Even though their room description never actually matched the room youre getting. I reported it to booking and got from them some compensation. Obviously I would never stay there again and would not recommend anyone else...

I stayed there 2 years ago and wasn't disappointed to be back ! Really well located- close to the CBD and into a dynamic neighbourhood, but gives you a cosy inside to chill in if you wanna avoid the crowd. Got a rooftop aswell to hang out. Staff has always been friendly, helpful and reliable.
