Overview
A Georgian farmhouse in the Kildare countryside, Moate Lodge near Athy provides individually designed rooms and a full breakfast menu. This dog-friendly guest house is around 1 hour’s drive from Dublin and offers free parking and Wi-Fi. Each guest room has a TV, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities, with views of the courtyard, orchard or gardens. A private bathroom has a bath or shower and complimentary toiletries. Moate Lodge serves a full Irish breakfast, as well as cereals and fresh fruit. Savoury and fruit-filled pancakes and omelettes are also on the menu, which uses organic farm produce and free-range eggs. You can also enjoy home-baked scones and jam in the drawing room. Dogs are welcomed, and will need to be mentioned when booking. There are extensive gardens and countryside nearby for your dog to enjoy. The market town of Athy lies around 8 minutes’ drive from Newbridge, a larger town which is home to the Whitewater Shopping Centre. The Japanese Gardens and the Curragh Racecourse are among other Kildare attractions within 25 minutes of Moate Lodge.

“Welcoming, Tranquil”
A welcoming historic home with beautiful furnishings in keeping with the style of the property. The property is in a tranquil location a few minutes' drive from Athy, with friendly hosts, a tasty breakfast, on-site parking. Good value for money, especially as a solo traveller.

Moate Lodge is in a rural setting close to Athy. We loved everything about this gorgeous country home from the beautifully decorated rooms to the delicious home cooked breakfast. Mary and Raymond were wonderful hosts.

“Fantastic place to Stay”
Everything about this place was great, amazing location, the couple who run the place are so friendly and helpful and a fantastic breakfast to go with it. Room was a beautiful large room with ensuite and really nice shower bed incredibly comfortable never slept so well really have nothing bad to say about the place. Thank You will stay again.
