We enjoyed the relaxed layout of the lodge with external decks and a central internal wood- burning stove in the lounge. All bedrooms and bathrooms were modernised and very comfortable.

“An elegant place to stay!”

This place had a touch of royalty and a classy vintage style of decor. Very spacious rooms and large size beds. There was also a nice bluetooth speaker provided by the host for use. The hosts were very responsive and allowed a slightly late checkout. Overall, a great stay.

really felt like a home instead of just somewhere to stay. Plenty of space inside, well equipped and cosy. Wood burner was great!

Large, beautiful and unique property

Great location right on the bike trail, and ample room for our group to spread out. Easy walk down to the local pub for dinner.

Nice location, huge house all for us to use, had more bedrooms than we needed. Fireplace was great and lot of firewood available, also the owner came to help me with lighting up the fireplace. All rooms and toilets were clean, heaters also available in each room. Best stay in the entire trip.

We had access to a fully fitted kitchen with additional food to support what we brought with us. The owners were aware there was nowhere to eat nearby. The house was outstanding . Lovely decor ; historical and artistic interest. The bottle of wine was well received. This was a stop on the journey delightful setting, though not a lot in Athol itself. We went down to the river for a paddle. The cafe sells great ice-cream and coffee. The art gallery close by, was closed by the time we were sorted but has some lovely work in the widows.

The most beautiful stay ever. What a wonderful lodge! Such comfortable beds, amazing shower pressure, and fantastic hosts. I would stay forever if I could!
