Overview
On the West bank of the River Shannon, Shannonside House is set within large, private gardens. Guests can enjoy home cooking and free parking, and Athlone's centre is a 5-minute walk away. Rooms at Shannonside all have a small en-suite bathroom with a shower curtain and free toiletries. Guests can relax in the rooms with a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Everything was so professional and the breakfast was excellent and the peace and quiet was beautiful and cleanliness of the bedroom and the house in general was excellent and the proprietors the beautiful people, really enjoyed.

“A wonderful find”
I had a very enjoyable stay at Shannonside House. The hosts were welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout my visit, making me feel right at home. And very kind. The house was spotlessly clean, and my room was comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was truly excellent, with plenty of choice and everything freshly prepared. The location was also very convenient, just minutes walk to the town centre, and there was easy parking at the location. I would happily and fully recommend Shannonside House and would stay there again.

Very comfortable, Linda and Matt were wonderful hosts. The room had everything we needed for our 1 night stay to break up our journey across to Dublin. The most delicious breakfast with so many options and great catering for allergies too.
