Located in the heart of Athens, just beneath the Acropolis, Safestay Athens Monastiraki is within walking distance of most attractions and offers stunning views of the Acropolis from its rooftop terrace. Safestay Athens Monastiraki provides guests with a comfortable base when visiting the Greek capital. Enjoy breakfast on our terrace. While you marvel at views of the Acropolis, the attentive staff can arrange a tour or rental car. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and Ensuite. Check your mails via free wireless internet or treat yourself to a drink from the rooftop bar or in the lounge. Guests also have the option to book a table on their very own terrace and have a unique candlelight dinner delivered. You are free to use the computer at the basement lounge, while safety deposit boxes can be used upon charge. Australian.Senior age traveller.I have stayed here around 5 times now (including prev management) & location can't be beaten.. So very close to everything & easily walked or to the Metro stations. Safestay has very good staff, helpful & pleasant to deal with. The rooms are clean with good fresh bed linen, & hot showers You cant beat the rooftop breakfast area & bar with its scenic backdrop of the Acropolis. The area in the past decade is being revamped with lots new eateries, nightlife etc.

“Great price. Great location. Great roof top views (see pics) . Ideal if you REALLY like sharing.”
Best staff ever at reception and in the roof top crew. Especially the half Brit/half Greek lady and the guy serving drinks at my table. Central location. Great panoramic views from the roof top. Easy to get to location from the airport. Literally a couple minutes from the station.

The hostel was cheap and in a great location. The air conditioning in the rooms worked great and the rooftop terrace had amazing views and cheap drinks. The breakfast offered is also good value.

“Great value and location”
Excellent location,short walk from underground station. Rooftop with Acropolis in background is more breathtaking then any picture can capture (added one) Friendly helpful staff. Clean and tidy with breakfast included as I'm level 3. I think you can purchase it anyway.

Very good location in the heart of Athens! Staff it’s really nice and friendly! I recommend that place for everyone who wants to stay for a long holiday and also just stop for 1 or 2 nights! Metro it’s very close and you can easily access everywhere! Loads of restaurants around and street it’s very nice and safe!

The owner and lobby staff were really helpful and friendly. The housekeeping lady was also very kind and attentive —she even helped me contact the lobby staff when I had trouble buying mineral water from the vending machine. The location is awesome. It is just behind the metro station, only about a 3-minute walk away. It's also within walking distance to the flea market and other attractions, making it very central and convenient. Overall, highly recommended for it's location and helpful staff.

“Great quality dorm in Monastiraki”
The staff were quite good when I asked for dorm cleaning etc. They were also friendly and helpful at breakfasts. The sitting area at reception was nice!
