I honestly regret booking this hotel. I booked the most expensive sea view room in the hotel specifically because the listing clearly stated that the room had air conditioning. This was one of my main conditions when searching for a hotel in Greece because the weather was extremely hot. I had many cheaper and better located hotel options available, but I chose this hotel because it was directly by the beach. After arriving, I was shocked to discover that the air conditioning was NOT working at all. The room was unbearably hot. I immediately asked to cancel my reservation and receive a refund, but they refused and told me the booking was “non-refundable.” Instead, they offered a fan and said the cooling system would work “tomorrow” because they were having technical problems. I waited one full day in extreme heat. The next day, the air conditioning was still not working. When I asked again, they told me to wait another 24 hours because their central cooling system takes 48 hours to switch from heating to cooling. They kept giving excuses until the very last minute. I only stayed in Greece for 3 days and paid a lot of money for what was supposed to be the best room in the hotel. Why should I spend my vacation suffering because of problems they already knew about? If the hotel has no working cooling system, they should clearly warn guests before taking their money. Hiding this issue from tourists is dishonest and unacceptable. Even after 48 hours, the room was still extremely hot. Then they offered me a free dinner as “compensation,” which honestly felt insulting considering the situation. I didn’t travel to Greece to sit sweating in a hot room for a dinner voucher. Later they offered to move me to a cheaper room at the back side of the hotel where there is less sunlight. That proved the problem existed throughout the entire hotel because the central air conditioning system was old and ineffective.

“Great hotel!”

Very good hotel. Nearly everything was perfect - it's right in front of the beach/sea and a tram station. One ticket to the city center costs 1,60 € and the ride takes around 35 minutes. Hotel rooms very modern and great, breakfast also very good.

“Really excellent stay at Poseidon Athens”

We really enjoyed everthing about this stay - food, rooms, facilities, hospitality. The breakfast in particuliar was very nice. The pool and bar on the rooftop was amazing for sunsets. The Tram line Edem stop is righjt outside the hotel so very easy to use public transport.

“Perfect location”

Hotel staff friendly, room was big for 3 people, 2 small balconies, mini fridge, great breakfast selection, lovely restaurant with beautiful views, good sized pool although this was not heated & was freezing in 31c heat, beach across the road with a kiosk that sells pretty much everything for good prices, bus & tram literally outside the hotel, affordable restaurant on the beach.

“Nice location by the sea”

Breakfast was good, providing several options. Room was clean and comfortable. There is free parking nearby.

The sea view from the 4th floor and the sunset are amazing, especially from the room 401, which is in the corner. The pool is large. The tram stop is right in front of the hotel, providing direct access to the tourist attractions in 30 minutes. The road is noisy but the window stops the sound very well. The room was perfectly clean. I had announced my arrival around 1am and the room was ready, with curtains closed and light on. I had a wonderful stay at the Poseidon hotel. All the staff was very kind. Special thanks to the captains and breakfast team, as well as the houskeeping team of the 4th floor. I highly recommend this hotel.
