Overview
Situated in Dionysiou Areopagitou, the most scenic pedestrian street in Athens, AthensWas hotel is set right opposite of the Acropolis and the New Acropolis Museum. The Temple of Olympion Zeus is a few steps away and Syntagma Square is a 10-minute walk away. Designed in line with the core principles of classical Modernism, AthensWas features uncluttered lines and natural materials. Each room opens out to a furnished veranda and has a worktable, minibar, flat-screen TV, safety box, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. A Nespresso coffee machine is also included in every room and suite. Offering spectacular views over the Acropolis and the city of Athens, the Sense Restaurant is located on the 7th floor of the hotel and serves modern Greek cuisine. Extra facilities include laundry services, a business centre, a fitness room, car rental and guided city tours. Transfer services to/from Athens Airport and the port of Piraeus can be arranged. Acropolis Metro station is located 160 meters away. MODERN is the new Food & Beverage outlet of AthensWas Hotel. “Steps from the major sights but cool and quiet”
Great location and room. Though the rooftop restaurant was not in use during our stay excellent breakfast was served on the ground floor. Lovely staff who were very helpful. We had a lovely shady balcony to our room and though it was a busy pedestrian street very little noise penetrated

Superb location and walking distance to all major sites and shopping and dining streets ! Breakfast was amazing with great view and for a change a-la-carte instead of the normal boring buffets ! we ate 5 times and had enough options , besides the food quality and service was excellent !

WE have stayed here many times - mainly because of the friendly welcome and the excellent location. Its always a pleasure to have breakfast whilst gazing on the Acropolis. Also the beds are very comfortable and the room is very well equipped.

“Hotel walkable to most tourist attractions but most of all with exceptional staff”
We loved the hotel mainly because the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The following members of the team went above and beyond in helping our stay comfortable - Marisanti, Valantis, Themistoklis, Nikos and John. The restaurant staff at breakfast was very helpful too - Irini and Katerina, We only had breakfast in the restaurant. Thank you everyone for helping our stay exceptional. We will come again with our daughter when we can to visit Athens again and will definitely stay there.
