“Amazing”

Easy to find, close to Galway city. Checkin and checkout were pretty straightforward and quick. The room itself is amazing: the beds are perfect, Wi-Fi worked pretty well, the room size is amazing for 4 people, bathroom is huge. The lodge is owned by a restaurant called The Old Barracks, and the included breakfast is provided by the restaurant. You can choose one dish and one drink from their breakfast menu, and the food was delightful. Everything exceeded our expectations, we can't recommend this place enough, we loved it and are looking forward to coming back here in the future.

We travelled as two couples and one single adult. There was plenty of room with a more than substantial communal area. Super clean and tidy. All cooking utensils and facilities. 20 minute walk into Athenry.

Nice contrast to the west coast villages with a sophisticated urban feel. Less touristy and more contact with the locals. Off road parking was a real plus. Food offer was great with breakfast in their separate restaurant which also offers early dinner and lunch. Athenry is an interesting town with medieval origins and the castle is well worth a visit.

From check-in we were greated friendly and warmly. We were brought to our room and told bits about the restaurants and information about the room (specifically the heating which I appreciated!) There were sweet treats in the room and were delicious! The bed was comfy and clean. The whole room was impeccably clean! The shower had amazing pressure and was hot also! Breakfast was delicious! Unfortunately it was a short stay bit we will definitely be staying again for longer 😊

“Great place to stay”

Central location. Spacious room. Comfortable beds, nice shower. Was very clean. Lots of little extras, bottles of water, a plate of little treats, cotton wool in bathroom. Breakfast is served up until 12 and served in the restaurant across the road, and is delicious. Staff very friendly and accommodating, we arrived early on the way to a party and although we couldn't check in, they gave us the key and showed us where the room was so we didn't have to rush back and could go straight to the room when we did get back. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice staff. Near everything. Clean, shower good water pressure. Tea and coffee making in the room and selection of cake is a nice treat. Breakfast included was exceptional and again staff very helpful and chatty. Definitely recommend as it is home from home.
