Overview
Built by the Earl of Darnley in the 19th century, today the Darnley Lodge Hotel offers en suite rooms, live music and a well-stocked bar. Free parking is available. The rooms have classic decor and some feature dark wood furniture. All rooms have a TV and an en suite bathroom with a shower. The award-winning restaurant uses local and Irish ingredients to create a range of traditional and modern dishes. The lounge has open fires in winter and serves light meals. The bar has a traditional Irish pub atmosphere and decor. It serves a range of beers, wines and spirits and offers regular live music events. Old Darnley Lodge is in the centre of Athboy, just 1 hour’s drive from Dublin International Airport and city centre. There are 12 golf courses in the county and the Irish Grand National takes place at the Navan Racecourse, 20 minutes’ drive away.

Hotel very nice and staff very friendly and helpful. Bedroom very comfortable and spacious. Bed very comfy! Breakfast was delicious, you can't beat a freshly cooked breakfast. Would certainly recommend this hotel.
