“Wonderful in every way”
Amazing in every way. Providing you are happy to be a little out of town. Free shuttle though. Plus you must love Japanese food and accept the wonderful set menu. Traditional. Be prepared to immerse yourself in real Japanese hospitality and excellence. It's quiet, restful, peaceful and beautiful. Not suitable for children.

We loved everything about this wonderful ryokan. The staff are amazing, the room was incredible with views of the sea. The dinner was one of the best Japanese meals I've eaten. You do need to enjoy traditional japanese food (you cannot adapt the menu) and be aware of customs. Free shuttle into town was appreciated. This is a paradise of relaxation. We wished we'd booked for longer. We will be back! Thank you Watei.

They are amazing facility and services. The Japanese room wear which is called Yukata is a bit difficult to wear but staff kindly support to wear correctly. Not only room and facility, the all service and welcome were amazing.

From the collection from the station to being dropped off to the station, the service was immaculate. The staff genuinely care and made us feel very welcome. The property is very well organised. We had dinner on the first night which was a great experience. Breakfast was also very good and it was nice to try traditional Japanese cuisine. The rooms were great and very spacious and the private onsen was perfect with a lovely view of Atami town and the bay.

“Exceptional stay”
The service was absolutely exceptional - the staff were so friendly and helpful, and made our stay from check-in to meal time, and everything in between, smooth and enjoyable. The location of the property is a little outside of Atami city centre, but easy to get to via taxi or shuttle, and meant that it was a super relaxing stay. The rooms were luxurious, and the meals were outstanding. Everything was so good.

“Perfect getaway”
The room is beautiful with spacious private onsen overlooking Atami from above. Everything in the room is meticulously designed for beauty and function. The dinner and breakfast were good.

Staff were friendly and the room was great. Onsen had a direct view to sakura trees (went during sakura season). Food / kaiseki was excellent. Made a request when I first booked 4 months ago to alter food due to dietary restrictions, and the staff remembered and gave the requested meal. They also picked us up at Atami station before check-in, and dropped us back at the same station after check out.

“Traditional and Beautiful”
It was such a beautiful and surreal experience from first entering the Ryokan to the last day. The private onsen, service and meals were exceptional! Highly recommended place and we would love to return to Watei Kazekomichi again.
