The room was a very good size with a balcony. Good lighting and a comfortable bed. Simple kitchenette with coffee grinder and fridge was useful. It had an excellent shower and luxury toilet. We made good use of the onsen (and sauna in male side, my wife was a little disappointed the women’s onsen didn’t have a sauna but she loved it all the same. We felt refreshed afterwards The free bar was a very generous touch, with good gin and whisky. Location good for buses to the station and Jukkoku pass. Lovely to also enjoy the sun on the roof terrace with a beer. Very comfortable stay. Some cutlery in kitchenette would make have been useful.

“Love the room! Stylish and Spacious with beach view!”

The room is stylish, spacious, and clean, love the in-room coffee bar/cabinet. View is terrific with beach view. There’s a free bar at the 1st floor providing drinks and snacks and even alcohol. Public onsen is pretty clean, and sufficient appliances.

Self-Check-in Free Drink Bar

A lot of the reviews on here complained about the check in process but we thought it was simple - just do the required pre check in documentation and it goes pretty smoothly from there. All done through the iPad within 5 minutes - an awkward video call with a real person to confirm details of our stay - but all part of the fun. We only stayed here two nights just to get away before moving onward to Tokyo and used it as a hub to visit the Izu peninsula for a day trip. The room was honestly excellent and we wish we added an extra night or two. I assume this place is a much livelier destination during the summer season and a lot of Atami felt very quiet during the night. The self service drinks/snacks facility was incredible offering a range of beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, soft serve ice cream and coffee which all felt like an indulgence especially since there were no restrictions.

View from the room was great, love the balcony space and the cozy dining table sofa. Best thing was the free flow of drinks, nuts and candies! The rooftop was a fantastic place to chill! Perhaps there could be soccer table game, table tennis table, some form of games for winter early nights that guest have nothing much to do in their rooms.

Booked a room for 4 persons and the room size is just right. Location is very good with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Love the technology used at the hotel; it was very user friendly. Love the free flow drinks too!

Love it. You can have juice, coffee, candy even the alcohol at the free bar. Room is with the side view of harbor. Public shower is stylish.
