The location was amazing! Such a beautiful and calm place. Great hospitality - the people were super friendly and open! And the food was so delicious, wow!

The location is very nice and peaceful. The garden just next to the nile looking over the east bank. Walking barefoot on sand. Very friendly people from the owner and the personal.

Wonderful place with enchanting nature

Wow there is soooo much to love here, the family running their business and all the extended family and friends that are around were all so welcoming friendly and kind, staying in a peaceful Nubian village close to the city here you can feel so much peace, connection with nature, community and Nubian culture. I loved waking up in this beautiful garden. The food is also delicious- multiple amazing chefs- freshly cooked meals- ingredients from the garden! Many activities that you can arrange here from Felluca trips, desert camping, camel rides, boat tours etc. it’s easy to reach the city from here by the ferry boat or their private boat so don’t worry about being out of the city- the location is perfect. So much love for this place, if you are considering don’t hesitate just book- this is your sign…

Everything, the place is paradise, the mango juice is exceptional, When you first arrive by boat to the west bank, the animals are grazing on the nile. It is the perfect place for nature lovers to unwind and explore the west bank and a refuge from the hustle and bustle of Aswan town. They do have a small boat to cross the river to the town anytime you need. Salatoo and his team are very welcoming and accommodating. They are always happy to help. Their homecooked Nubian food is the best that I have ever tasted in Aswan. I would highly recommend it. I have booked another 2 nights, and Salatoo and Melanie are very kindly organising a camal ride to the tombs of the nobles for us tomorrow. It is the kind of place that you arrive at as a guest and leave with a new family and home to come back to anytime. It is very difficult to put into words the beauty of this place 😊 😀 ❤️

Our recent trip to Aswan was already exciting, but staying at Salatoo Guesthouse truly made it special. Originally, I wasn't sure whether to choose a five-star hotel or a Nile cruise, but as someone with Egyptian roots, I wanted my wife and kids to experience the authentic culture and meet the locals. That's exactly what we found at Salatoo. The location on the West Bank of the Nile is simply perfect - peaceful, scenic, and just a short crossing to the city center. The guesthouse is impeccably clean and situated just outside a charming local village, which was ideal for evening walks and immersing ourselves in everyday Nubian life. The highlight was definitely the warm hospitality and home-cooked Nubian cuisine prepared by the wonderful Madam Amira. Honestly, the food was some of the best we've ever had, rivaling the finest restaurants in Europe. The staff, including Belal, Sadat, Captain LoLo (the captain of the felucca), and Gilberto, made us feel like family — their friendliness and genuine care made our stay truly memorable. By the end of our four days, we felt like we had made lifelong friends. We left with a deep appreciation for Nubian culture and a desire to return next year — this time feeling more like coming home than just visiting. “I lost my money without staying.”

Not professional. Not safety and security. I lost my money. I left the please within minutes and booked other property. Attitudes of the owner was very rude.

“Farm, river front, animals and more!”

If you are looking for a farm stay or eco friendly place or if you are an animal lover, then this is definitely your right place to go! Very helpful and friendly family and crew, hosts you in a river front farm, where you have couple of setting areas around fire or under mango trees, and even Infront of the river directly... Walking on the river bank between birds , cows and donkeys was a different experience. Hints: - you need to cross to the west side of the river with a local ferry service, cheap but "very local", then you need to take a toktok from the ferry dock to the facility (No taxi or Uber at this area. But! You still can arrange your direct privet transportation by boat from the city to the facility by contacting them ahead. - There are not many options for restaurants at this area, but you still can book your local dishes at the facility or take your meal at the city. Thanks Belal for the coordinations, Amira for the great food (specially the Taamia), Mango and keshra for being friendly and playful dogs 😀

The place is awesome!..a peaceful vibe....great view of the nile. It's like a farm house...Oh the food was very tasty and the people were so warm...loved it

Above all, it was Salatoo and his crew who made our stay unforgettable. You feel like part of a family, we ate together and went on excursions :) But you can also retreat and relax in the garden or by the Nile. The food was incredibly delicious, you can sleep in cozy and clean huts, tents or bungalows. The crossing to the city or wherever you wanted to go by boat was easy and cheap. Really highly recommended!

Amazing location and food! Zalatoo was a great host and they have a really chill garden. You can easily take the ferry to town.

“Amazing Rural Retreat”

If you need a place to calm down and relax, this is the place to go. At Salatoo's you will find friendliness, hospitality and a kind of calm you will not find in the cities. Everyone is so generous and friendly, always happy to help! The camp itself is super rural and open (literally), which gives it its unique charm and Salatoo's beautiful garden is really impressive to see. Our room was very clean and modern, with a nicely working AC and a private bathroom. We had everything we needed and then a bit more :). (Also: their self-made tea tastes so good)

Amazingly welcoming people, brilliant location right on the Nile. Simple but lovely facilities. A brilliant sense of calm and peace just to be there.

Everything was great, super nice staff, delicious breakfasts, localization far from the noise of the city but close to ferry so it's easy to go to the city center.

I had an amazing time. They have the friendliest staff that make you feel like instant family. The food was incredible and they will literally help you plan whatever you want to do. They genuinely want everyone to have a great time. A cross between a camp and a farm with the Nile as your backdrop, this is how to really feel like a local in Aswan. I go back whenever I can.
