“Outstanding stay”
I had an excellent experience with Bassam and his wonderful staff. A big shout out for Mohammad and his helper Mustafa who made amazing coffee in the traditional Nubian way, well worth the wait watching the process and and the taste was delicious. Thank you Bassam for organising our tours of Philae island and surrounds and the time on Lake Nasser. I look forward to, God willingly, to the all day trip on Lake Nasser, to see the Sunrise, food, storytelling of Nubian traditions and culture, music, visit to Temple of Kalabsha, (3.59pm purchase ticket0 and then on to see Sunset later in the year

Bassam is the best host ever, extremely helpful with a big knowledge about Nubian history, always smiling and joking! I met him by chance in Luxor. He does everything to make his guests feel as an authentic Nubian. Nubian Kingdom Aragheed House is a beautiful decorated paradise with a great view from the roof top terrace on Mount Abu Qubbet el-Hawa.... Its very close to the ferry pier. Some small shops are also around. You can choose cosy clean rooms or even tents under a roof. Bassam provides a typical Nubian breakfast and on order a very delicious dinner cooked by his aunty. In the evening Zoun was preparing an awesome coffee. Its a wonderful ceremony watching him how he is roasting coffee seed, matches ginger and mixes for a tasty coffee. Sometimes musicans are playing and singing. Soooo nice!!! There is a lot of space to relax, on the roof, in the atrium, outside. You can walk along the Nile through green fields, directly or by camel or dunky to the tombs, and if Bassam has time, ask him to do a trip in his boat to Philae, on the Nasser Lake for visitig temple Kalabscha, Bet el-Wali and enjoying sunset. He is organizing tours and everthing you need with enthusiasm. Many thanks for Bassam, for his helpful staff, Mahmut and all the other boys, also for his both nieces and especially for his aunt. You have to stay some days, there is a lot to do, enjoy Nubian Kingdom Aragheed guest house on the fullest.

“很喜欢凌晨在屋顶吹着风,谢谢 Bassam 教我从另一种角度去听音乐”
I only stayed for one night, but it became the most unforgettable part of my trip. The host, Bassam, was incredibly kind-he even lent me small change for the ferry ticket, which truly surprised me. On the ferry, men and women sit separately, something I experienced for the first time. When I returned later to pick up my luggage, Bassam still took the time to show me and another guest around the village. He showed us local plants and vegetables I had never seen or tasted before, but he forgot to tell us how to cook them. The rooftop view over the desert was calm and timeless, completely different from my hotel overlooking the Nile in Luxor. The location was perfect for me: very close to the mountains where many tombs lie beneath. Bassam showed me a safe shortcut to reach the top for free, making it easy to hike up for sunrise. Early in the morning, I stood alone on the mountaintop, listening to the wind from the Nile-an unforgettable moment. After 7 AM, staff begin working at the bottom, and someone may approach you about visiting the tombs. I highly recommend it. The sunlight filtering into the tunnel’s darkness is incredible.

“Great hosts, great location, great vibes”
Very welcoming hosts. Family business. Very unique setting away from the crowds of the east bank. Absolutely DELICIOUS meals with accomodation for vegetarian. (Would also suit vegan). Very easy walk to the local ferry which runs regularly from early to late (we never waited more than 5-10mins) and hosts offered private boat for reasonable price when we needed a 3am ferry. Hosts are helpful for arranging tours to all the local attractions. Would definitely recommend to any travellers who prefer avoiding cities and staying somewhere unique. We only stayed 2 nights as we were low on time but I would recommend staying longer. We have been travelling for 6 months and this was one of the accomodation highlights.

“Had a fantastic stay!”
Had a wonderful stay here! The owner was super communicative, and both the room & bathroom were spotless. They even packed us a decent breakfast box. The musical evening was a highlight, immersing in their culture and stories made it even more special. Truly one of the best parts of my Egypt trip!

We felt more than welcome in here. The staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful in every way possible. The laid-back attitude and peaceful guesthouse was a refreshing oasis in the middle of our otherwise stressful journey. The genuine atmosphere and invitations to hang out with the locals made us feel home and seen as people, not just as tourists and customers. Strong recommendation. Definitely will come here again if I ever find myself in Aswan again. As a plus, the location on the west bank near the public ferry enables a more peaceful experience than staying in the city, but still an easy access for a city visit. Oh, and the breakfast was amazing, make sure not to miss it.

“Authentic Ancient Charms”
Wonderful staff and available all the time. The location is perfect for travelling 🧳by public ferry ⛴️ East 🔛 West. You are 😎 at the ancient Tombs with no obstruction in sight. Plenty of space at the premise. Different atmosphere and well designed ground open area( comfortable ⛺ + 🏓 table + open 🔥), or the charming upper floors(bedrooms + sitting area) or the open roof top floor. The food was 😋 and generous portions. I enjoyed the company of the staff and visiting locals and the 🎵🎶 sessions.

“Amazing place to stay”
So glad we found this place! Basheem and the whole family are lovely and so welcoming - you quickly feel part of the family yourself. Such an oasis of peace to come back to and chat about Nubian culture and listen to their friends jamming Nubian music after supper. You can get a very good paid meal each night which was always excellent. Rooms are quite basic but clean and airy and probably the most comfortable we stayed in on our trip. The guest house is only 2 minutes from the local ferry to the East bank and the same to the Tombs of the Nobles where you can watch sunset from the top of the hills.
