“Beautiful location and building for a relax stay in Aswan”

We enjoyed the roof top terrace and our nice room with good beds and excellent sheets and towels

Our stay was simply wonderful! The family is incredibly warm and caring – the boys were able to provide everything we wished for. The location of the accommodation was perfect: just one minute to the Nile, where you can enjoy the sunrise every morning. In the afternoon, a visit to Qubbet el-Hawa is highly recommended, where you can stay until sunset and admire the breathtaking view over the city. The accommodation itself is even more beautiful than shown in the photos. And last but not least, the delicious food deserves special mention – it left us without any desire to go to restaurants.

The staff is very friendly and kind always looking to make me feel comfortable. The food is amazing they have local family food which is very nice. A very beautiful views, clean and amazing. I would 100% reccommend if you are willing to relax a couple days from the city caos. That guest house is amazing.

Peaceful location in a typical Nubian village … away from the buzz of Aswan

My sister and I stayed at this hostel in Aswan, bahar was friendly, Nubian aunt cooked local food was delicious, there was a music bar nearby, small shop, big dog jaxi and her son haha. Compared to Aswan across the street, it's quiet and comfortable, and the dining bar on the second floor looks out over the Nile.

“West Bank Aswan”

Tranquil, beautiful, family run accommodation. Habibi and his nephews did everything to make the most relaxing, comfortable, wonderful stay. Authentic, fresh cooked, meals and daily cleaning service. Airport pick up was there waiting with sign to find easily, thank you Sammy! Habibi also organised a sun' set sail on the Nile and took me for a motor boat trip another day. Boat to East Bank 5-10 minute walk and only 10 EGP, runs regularly. Definitely picked the right side of the Nile to stay on, extremely relaxing, staying there was a great addition to my trip!

A really great find... This traditional house was such a treat... The location was also really quiet (on the west side) but only 5 mins walk from the public ferry... The views were stunning... the staff were really warm and friendly... Overall, a great experience and great value for money... Will definitely return...

“Maybe good as a budget stay during winter”

Considering the number of great reviews, I was expecting a fantastic place, but was badly let down except by the staff, who were indeed fantastic, especially Baher. It is essentially a house that has been converted to a guest house. On the plus side, it is cheap and has very large bed rooms and bathrooms. The food is made in house and reflects the local cuisine, and felt very authentic. I loved the two large, friendly dogs who treated everyone as friends.

“Amazing authentic place out of the city”

I was so happy with the idea to stay in that place on the west bank of Nile. It was perfect choise, accomodation is very authentic, owners are really nice, we had dinner from Nubian mom, which I can fully recomend. Accomodation is basic, but clean and suficient. When I was cold during the night hosts gave me another blanket. It's very easy to reach the east bank with local ferry. I can fully recommend.

Lovely authentic Nubian house with very helpful friendly staff. Beautiful location overlooking the Nile from the very nice roof terrace to watch the boats sailing by. Local ferry to Aswan was a highlight. Easy to visit the Noble tombs as close by and worth visiting with amazing views.

“Love the sleepover but the rest...”

If I just have to rate the room, the location, the welcome-service and the clean it would be a 10/10. Do it. Wonderful. Clean, silent, good atmosphere for the room. Love a rooftop. Go for a morning walk and you get aaaall the good stereotypical things about Egypt and enjoy it: A little sandy desert, camels, the Nile, palms, cows^^

“Charming guest house in a safe village”

The place in reality is much better than how it is presented in the pictures. There are also two sunbeds in the common area. There is also a tv, but without English channels. Rooms are quite (no noise from the street) and have been recently renovated. Of course you hear the boats in the Nile and the nearby mosque. Furniture is simple but nice. Normally it is difficult to find in Egypt such a charming place presented in a simple way. Taking the ferry to Aswan is very simple and super cheap. In the village when you walk everybody says hello and welcome. You feel super safe. In this Aswan is very different... It is also safe but turists are harrassed. Frankly we liked very much this place.

The host was extremely warm and patient. We had an issue with the payment as they didn't have machine to accept card and we didn't have cash. He was patient with us to work out situation through bank transfer. Staff is very nice and considerate. They packed us a breakfast bag since we had a tour at 4 am in morning!

“Thank you for everything”

Mr Habib and his family were the nicest people we met in Egypt. His sister is a wonderful cook and so modest about it and the kids are great. The place was very clean and they helped us with everything we needed without ever asking for anything. They even made us a breakfast box to take with us if we went out early. There are some friendly and well cared for pets in the place which speaks to the kind of people they are. Say hello to Jessie for us!

Everything!!! We were a group of 5 persons and i can say each of us were pleased to stay at habib s place We want to thank Habib for his help his availibilty and his positive attitude! We RECOMMAND 100% Nubian Holiday House! if i had to return in aswan i will for sure stay at Habib s place! The room were very clean!The breakfast was also very good ! we left the place during the night and Habib prepared us take away breakfast for each of us! We appreciated everything!

Cute little off the beaten track guesthouse. MUCH quieter than the other side. Can take the boat over for 5EGP one way. Rooms were very clean.
