5* accommodation this may not be but 5* food, charm and hospitality it most certainly is.

After a few hiccups the shuttle boat found me at the dock and ferried to the site, in the dark by moonlight. I was shown to my room which was quite acceptable but then told I'd been upgraded and found myself in a large appartment which could easily sleep 6. Outside was a table and chairs and plenty of space to relax. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The next morning I was asked where I would like breakfast, apparently you can have it in the room, outside at your own seating area or as I did at the outside tables at the front of the property looking out over the Nile. They say breakfast should be a main meal of the day and this certainly was filling me up until dinner and it was delicious, very pleasantly surprised. As the name says this is a farm and that includes dogs, cats, horse, donkey and crocodiles (yes you did read that right). It didn't take me long to totally relax in the beautiful setting and realise I wanted to extend my stay. That night we asked to have a Nubian dinner and weren't disappointed, they certainly know how to feed you. There is a sand hill that you can climb at the back of the property and watch the beautiful sunset. Trips: we went by motorboat to the Nubian village for a wander and shop, a very pretty decorated place. On return we realised it is possible to walk there and we did walk part way along the river to a beach area and swam in the very cold Nile. I expressed that I liked going along the river and it was suggested would I like to go sailing. The sail boat was laid out with comfortable cushions, bottles of water and a tray of tea/coffee and breadsticks was provided. Sailing for approx 2.5 hours viewing the river bank and relaxing so tranquil. The staff were so accommodating all you had to do was ask if you wanted anything or wanted to visit somewhere and they would arrange it to your schedule. All in all I was very surprised by this place and have come home totally relaxed by my stay. Highly recommend.

This place and its location is unique. It’s a slice of paradise to the prime of a budget hotel.

This place and it’s location is unique. The nature and the area is amazing. The possibility of private felucca ride from the hotels private beach is fantastic. We took a 4 hour sailing trip on the Nile with crew. It is totally genuine

Peace on the Nile

My whole family loved our stay. It was incredibly relaxing and peaceful. The food was beautiful and home cooked. My sons 10 and 7 also commented on how peaceful it was. They really enjoyed seeing the animals and the boat ride in and out. They both rated it 5 stars. It was a very unique experience. I appreciated being able to shedule our meals and boat shedule with Muhmoud ahead of time so the day ran smoothly. We also appreciated our delicious welcome drink.

Very very quiet rural retreat with a hostel-type feel

Super rural, rustic and a bit cut off from reality. The only way to access this hotel is with their private boat and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Staff were very helpful, arranged an excellent felluca tour for us, and Sherief was basically our personal driver for the duration of our stay.

Fantastic relaxing gem in the middle of the desert.

The location is incredible directly on the edge of the desert, with the desert sand under your bedroom window. It's on the West Bank of the Nile, so quiet. They take you with the boat (~15 min) to the city side or Elefantine island whenever you want. It really is a small farm with animals and all (camel, goats, crocodiles). And Mahmoud the owner is a very nice, smart and helpful person.

Great location, beautiful nature.

It’s a beautiful place on the westbank of the nile. The nubian style of colors are an amazing touch in the green and dessert yellow mix of nile and surroundings. There is a 24/7 shuttle boat that belongs to the property that will take u or bring u to and from the other side at any time. Opening the bedroom window led directly to the dessert and some dunes incredibly beautiful. Most of the time we were completely alone which is nice when u want to calm down yet it can become strange when u are a very social person. We didn’t try evening meals there. The breakfast was simple but nice. Overall it would be possible to do much more with this gem of a location with very little effort to a really high end experience.

Beautiful spot, but would be much better during high season.

In high season when bustling with guests and staff I think this would be a great place to stay. Although remote, its location on the Nile is beautiful and the desert behind the property is serene. The free boat transfer to and from Aswan is very helpful.

Authentic Nubian retreat set in beautiful nature

This is a very authentic Nubian place to stay run by a very friendly and helpful Nubian owner. It is on the other side of the river from Aswan town centre and the staff were only too happy to take us by boat to a tour that started at 4am and at all other times. The boat ride through the Nile around small islands is very beautiful. The owner also gave us a packed breakfast in the morning and complimentary water. if you love sitting in peaceful nature where you can climb the sand dune behind the farm to see the sunset and drink fresh guava and lemon juice, then this place is great. the rooms were beautiful with painted rooms in the Nubian style and had a large rocks in the rooms as the rooms were cut into the mountains.

hostel on the banks of the Nile, to get there you have to cross it by boat, included in the price, it is a dream to cross this mythical river and be able to bathe in it. The reception with a fresh lemonade, a tenderness and a kindness of the administrators, worthy of a son of the country, comforts you. The owner and administrators are always attentive to help us find the best visit plans, understanding and helpful. the hostel is a charm with its garden-restaurant and its old and spacious rooms.

to recommend

This accommodation is perfect for relaxing and spending quality time on the banks of the river. The attention from the staff was very good, all very helpful and hospitable. We would have liked to stay longer in the accommodation. It has its own restaurant. It has breakfast service and it is very complete. Mahmoud was a great host and helped us with everything we needed.

A little piece of Paradise

Mahmoud and Ayman were both so helpful. The apartment was very spacious and decorated in traditional Nubian style. It is located on the West bank of the Nile so there is a private boat to take you over the river which can be requested at any time. The food was traditional eygtian and delicious especially the cheese at breakfast. If you want a quiet place with beautiful views of the Nile and the desert this is the place to stay.

beutiful place but bring your own nececities (towels , sheets, snacks and drinks)

location of the Nubian farm is beautiful - it’s on the nice and green part of Nile and behind are the most beautiful desert dunes! we walked to sights like St.Simeon monastery and Tombs across the desert and we’d recommend you do the same. farm offers free boat rides (which are beautiful) to and from the farm, but organise them with the owner upfront. might not be responsive immediately.

Definitely the worst experience ever in Egypt. Still no apology or any refund from the hotel. Photos show the message I

Guests can only get there by ferry and it's inaccessible to road traffic from the airport. I didn’t know this so I thought I could take a taxi there from the airport without the hotel’s help. The hotel had messaged me for my arrival time but I didn’t see the hotel’s message until I landed at the airport at 23:45, when I knew I had to be picked up by the hotel ferry. So I called them, but they didn’t answer, although they claim they have a 24 hour front desk. I had no choice but to find and stay at another hotel at 2 am. The next day I called them and they answered very coldly that I didn’t reply to their messages. The thing is, their messages were hidden after piles of other information so it’s easy to overlook the real messages. Even if their messages were sent in an obvious way, they still have no reason to accuse guests of not replying! Guests should be able to reach a 24 hour hotel reception whenever they want, not the other way around!Especially when the hotel knew that there was a guest still not arriving and not contacted, they should make sure that the phone was reachable! Running a business is not like having a relationship with a boyfriend. The last thing a hotel should complain is that the guests don’t reply!

Charming stay at Nubian Farm

If you are not expecting 5 star hotel with all it´s hustle around, but your are more into nature, this magical place will simply capture your hearth. You can walk up the dunes behind the farm and get such a great view of Aswan or you can swim in Nile or just enjoying yourself at this charming place. Also, the food they cook here is super tasty, unless you don´t like fresh fish from the Nile or home beef from their farm… There are so many superlatives that could be written, but long reviews nobody likes to read. Just come here and experience it yourselves. Thank you guys for all your hospitality and hope to see you again soon
