“Over expectations. Really recommended.”
The house is super clean and the host is very hospitable and kind. The rooftop is with amazing view of the Nile river. Host could help us book an early morning motor boat for us to catch the tour to Abu Simbe and packed the breakfast. Just walk 10 minutes to the other port and there are several tasty restaurants. 😋

I had a perfect stay at the Bakar Nubian Guest House. It has a very authentic Nubian feeling and is located on Elephantine Island, which is very peaceful and quiet. The ferry to the other side of the Nile is just a few meters away. Muhammad and his family are incredibly warm, polite, and welcoming. They personally helped with everything, answered all my questions, and organized amazing trips. You can feel that they do everything possible to make sure their guests feel at home. Also the breakfast was delicious and the view from the guest house is absolutely stunning. I will come back for sure 😊

Very good value for money. Based on Elephantine Island, which requires taking the ferry each time you want to go sightseeing, but the ride takes only a few minutes, coats only 20 cents, and gives a very charming aspect to your stay. Breakfast not included, but Abdelrahman made me a very tasty and copious one for a very low price.

“Great host!”
Abdelrahman is an outstanding host. He flawlessly organized our airport transfer (at 1 am) and arranged a private car trip to Abu Simbel for next day at unbeatable prices: I asked in 4 different places and his offer was by far the best. He was attentive to any need or request. I strongly recommend staying with him.

Abdul was really friendly enough to take care of my requirements. Without any hesitation, even when he was in a hurry on his personal travel , he ensured everything was ok with me . His father was awesome he greeted me early in the morning with lots of love. Overall the stay was excellent with a wonderful view from terrace watching the sunset & sunrise from the Nile River which was extremely wonderful. I've felt like home with lots of love

- The host Hamadon is a helpful person, he arrange everything well and he will make sure everything is OK for you. 10 out of 10. - Location is important, you must choose the house near the pier and the location here is perfect. - The room is clean. - You got all the basic needs for this price.

My stay couldn't have been better. The host family are all super sweet and will make you feel instantly at home. Location is perfect, right next to the ferry. They also offer meals, I highly recommend eating their Tahini one of the best I ever tried. It's quiet in the early morning too, some of the best sleeps I've had in Egypt. Highly recommend staying here on Elephantine Island
