“Peaceful and comfortable ⭐”

The accommodation was very lovely, well taken care of and clean. Our room had the most comfortable bed we had slept on in our entire stay in Egypt! Breakfast is free with your stay, which is served on the rooftop with a view of the Nile River. Abdo and his team are very lovely, they organised our trip to Abu Simbel, and kindly offered to pick-up some things from town for us (the location is not central, but in a peaceful local neighbourhood). It was a pleasure to support a local Nubian business, I would definitely stay here again.

Abdo built this guest house to complete a work his father started - and he did a great job. The location, the view to the Nile and, most importantly, his hospitality should be experienced by other guests. I truly recommend!

Perched a distance away from the city centre, King Kassem Nubian Guesthouse offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of Aswan city, allowing you to wake up to a quiet morning by the Nile river, opposite the Suheil Island. You get the privilege of having breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the island, and you can spot some rapids along the Nile from this unique vantage point. Even if it may require you to take a taxi back and forth the city, I think the serenity it offers is worth the slight inconvenience. The guesthouse is very well-maintained, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and they have a water heater, which is a must-have for travellers staying in Aswan during winter. Breakfast is available without added cost upon request, it’s simple but it gets the job done. And it really is the local assortment of breakfast food, what more can you ask for with such affordable rates? A final shoutout to the owner, Abdo, very approachable man that will ensure you have a great stay in Aswan with that touch of Nubian hospitality. I was very grateful that he offered a lift to the airport at a reasonable price, which allowed us to avoid having to haggle with taxi drivers offering ridiculous rates for transport to the airport. If you’re looking for something affordable, good, and authentic, look no further.

It was very peaceful to stay with them, it's a little far from the main avenues so its not in a touristy area, the owner and the staff people were the most lovely, they were so polite and helpful, amazing... and it was the only place in Egypt where the internet was running perfectly. I recommend staying with them eyes closed. It's a nice experience for me.

Owner of place is helpful. Place is good for your group of 6 and use all 3 rooms. Small and cozy. You can ask owner to buy food in city for you.

“Moderate but okay”

The room is basic but acceptable. The bathroom could use some (minor) maintenance. Unfortunately, I noticed a slight smell of smoke throughout the accommodation, including the room. It only became quiet in the accommodation after I had to raise a complaint about it around 11:00 p.m. Most of the staff are uncomfortable with English, which results in a bit clunky communication.

“Great host, good accommodation”

The host Abdo was exceptionally considerate with our various requests regarding stay. Even without we requesting, he promptly packed a neat breakfast early in the morning when we started for various tours. Overall he was a very pleasant and sweet company and the accommodation was very neat and cool as host has taken care to do various things on the roof to keep the temperature cool within the home eventhough it was scorching heat outside.

Good basic accommodation, relatively close to airport and they provided a shuttle service at 03.00! This was appreciated.

The landlord is very nice, smiling all the time, serving the room, the bed is very big and comfortable, and the location of the hotel is very convenient, so you can take a taxi without crossing the river.
