“Perfect place to stay in Aswan.”

Everything was fantastic. Brilliant hosts who were so helpful during our stay including arranging great trips for us. The location is perfect right next to the public Nile ferry. The Island is very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the East bank. The King Jamaica restaurant was next door and has excellent food. There is a lovely terrace in the guesthouse, which serves drinks, overlooking the Nile, and is where breakfast is taken. We had a late bus on our last day and were able to keep our room, which is fantastic.

Look no further than the Jamaica Guest house for beautiful home cooked food, clean and comfortable accommodation, friendly helpful owners and reliable on site organisation of any activity you could want. We were a large family group of nine with both sets of grandparents and three children. Everyone and all their associated compliancation were all accommodated with patience, compassion and friendship. Esraa runs the house and her brother Mohammed is a captain with a fleet of motor and sailing boats. Esraa and her extended family around them offer several dining options, all freshly prepared to order that are a real taste of quality family cooking with ultimately kind service. We stayed two nights and went visiting the botanical gardens on a tour around elephant island with Mohammed and later went sailing on their traditional Fellucca to see the sunset and swim in the Nile. My father in law is partially disabled and uses a wheelchair, everyone involved was incredibly helpful and he had an amazing experience.

“Amazing views”

The views, being close to the ferry and being close to the Nubian dreams restaurant rooms are spacious and clean . You can also get good deals if you want to do excursions and transfers.

A great accommodation that is highly recommended. Above all, it was good that the host was very helpful and arranged everything possible, boat trip, good prices etc. Good breakfast every morning and they arranged for you to have it even when you had to get up early. The view from the terrace was also a big plus. Easy to get to and from the island with boat.

I had a wonderful stay at Jamaica Guesthouse in Aswan. With a beautiful view of Nile in rooftop. Isra, who manages the guesthouse, is extremely friendly, helpful, and responsible. She truly cares about the guests and makes sure everything is well organized and comfortable. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was good and satisfying. Nearby, there are two or three nice restaurants with a beautiful view of the Nile, which was a lovely bonus and very convenient.

“Such a warm and welcoming guesthouse!”

We had an amazing stay at Jamaica Guesthouse. Mohamed and Esra are very welcoming and warm people that will make you feel at home right upon arrival! Esra showed us around the guesthouse and we had a delicious vegetarian Tagine for us! Next early morning we went on a tour to Abu Simbel with a breakfast box from the guesthouse. So thoughtful! Breakfast is also freshly made and delicious! We had some very nice talks with Mohamed, who also speaks Dutch. He explained us a bit about the local Nubian culture. He can help you with transfers, tours and everything. He arranged us a transfer from Marsa Alam to Aswan for a very fair price! And also from Aswan to Luxor! Elephantine Island is absolutely gorgeous! Such a peaceful place! Make sure to walk around the island and to watch the sunset! Highly recommended! Thank you once again!

“Great little hideaway from the chaos”

Amazing location, very convenient right near the ferry. Esraa and Mohamed were very attentive and helpful, they have lots of local knowledge and are happy to help with guides and transport. The breakfast was cooked fresh each morning or a meal pack was provided for early departures or tours in the mornings. The room was comfortable enough and suited us for the two nights we stayed. The rooftop was lovely and we had a nice fresh dinner and spoke with the other guests and Mohamed for a few hours one night. Across the water in main Aswan can feel very chaotic and overwhelming, Elephantine Island feels like a nice escape from this and it’s only 15 EGP ($0.46 AUD) each to cross if you need to get over. Esraa arranged a hotel transfer to Luxor for us and Mohamed was able to give us better pricing than online for tours to the Nubian Village and Philae Island. Overall very happy, and if I could recommend anything for a tourist when staying in Aswan: Pick an Island, like Elephantine or head to Nubian Village - main Aswan is not worth the hassle!

esraa and her Family are very welcoming and did offer a Lot of help. Its clean and the AC is Working well! They also picked me up at the Airport and asked at any Moment if all is good. My friend and I were given even a bigger Room. Shukran!

“Nice guest house”

The owner of the guest house has already been messaging me before coming to the place, asking if we needed any help with anything. He was kind and professional, he only asked what he could offer and didn’t try to bribe or ask to go to any touristy places/restaurants. He was very welcoming. We also got the airport transfer pickup. The room was okay, had two double beds. We also had breakfast boxes as we had tours in the morning.

Everything was excellent, Esraa is a great host she is very kind and hospitable. The location is great just by the public ferry in Elephantine Island, which is very quiet and nice place and a couple of minutes away from Aswan City. The place was super clean, and the beds were very comfy, and the roof has one of the best views I have ever had. Definitely my place to go every time in Aswan. Thank you Esraa 🙏🏼

The views from the guest house was amazing the beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. Breakfast freshly done Mohammad help to book trip to abu Simba for the next day and onward transfers to Luxor for a reasonable price definitely stay here again

“Great place to stay”

Esra was super nice. Waited for us to arrive at 11pm, gave us a room upgrade and prepared a breakfast box for our Abu Simbel trip. We had a lovely dinner on the rooftop as well. Room was quite big and the location is fantastic, so close to the ferry.

“Very comfortable stay”

A beautiful escape from the city, amazing breakfast all freshly cooked, the view from the terrace is beautiful. The rooms are very clean with new beds and bedding, A/C is a plus on the hot nights. The friendly staff helped arrange my day tours to Abo Simbel, Phile temple, and helped immensely to navigate a good deal on sunset felucca and motor boats on the Nile. They can also arrange a connection with the nile cruise boat if needed.
