Nice place for the little bit more adventurous travellers. Little difficult to find, no towel and soap and low water pressure, not spot clean. But very nice staff, beautiful rooftop terrace view, good local breakfast. And very good value for money.

Good and friendly People in charge. They are reliable to organize transports and trips. The food is good, the location perfect to visit the area and the rooftop is the cherry on the cake.

Fantastic location, beautiful view from the balcony, there is a terrace on the roof with a breathtaking view, friendly and helpful staff with a positive attitude, very good place, I recommend it to travelers who love nature and a lot of walking, this place is the cider of Elephantine Island, I recommend it 1000%

Our entire experience at El Prince Guesthouse was great. The staff did everything they could to make our stay in Aswan easy and enjoyable. We had a river-view apartment and really enjoyed being able to relax on the balcony while taking in the Nile view from time to time. Crossing over to Elephantine Island is easy and inexpensive. Once there, you’ll find great, affordable restaurant options. The island is also home to a Nubian village where it feels safe and pleasant to walk around. Breakfast was served on the rooftop each morning, and the owner even prepared a breakfast box for us on the morning we left for Abu Simbel at 4 a.m. The apartment was fairly clean and very spacious.

“Great little place on the quiet side of Aswan”
What a nice find! The view from the rooms and roof terrace is great, overlooking the botanical garden island and the route to desert monastery on the west bank. Absolutely no traffic noise from the city at all, just lots of quiet sailboats and an occasional water taxi. The manager Amgad was incredibly kind to us - from (huge) packaged breakfast we could not possibly finish ourselves, to a wake up knock on the door to make sure we don't oversleep for our daytrip, even taking us on his private motorboat on the last day, not just between the islands for sights, but also to the dock near train station. Nothing was ever a problem. We truly believe this is one of the best guest houses in its class in Aswan. It is not fancy, but the bed is comfy, hot water runs and as long as you set your expectations right, this is a lovely place to use as home base while you explore.

“Beautiful stay with lovely people at a great guesthouse.”
El Prince Guesthouse is in an amazing location on Elephantine Island. The Host Amer is a lovely man and couldn’t be more helpful. The Guesthouse has a great rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the peace and quiet broken by the odd donkey!! The views are spectacular over the Nile and also watching the sunset. The Wi-Fi was the excellent.

“Quiet stay in a village atmosphere”
The views from the room and the attached balcony of sunset over the nile was fabulous. Amjad, the owner, was a gem of a person - good conversations and always ensured we got packed breakfast if we had to leave early. The rooftop terrace is a cool location to soak in evening sunset view, don't miss it. Plus, the people on the island are very friendly and gives you the feel of staying in a quiet village.

“Good value for money, pleasant stay in Nubian village.”
Being on Elephantine Island, in the middle of Nubian village was an authentic experience. Hotel rooms are basic but comfortable enough and clean. Hotel has a pet baby crocodile! Our host, Amgad was very helpful and friendly and made our stay pleasant. Good value for money and worked well for our large family as we got a whole floor to ourselves and 4 bathrooms between 8 of us! It was also close to the attractions such as Anamalia & Elephantine Island museum.
