“Wonderful few days by the Nile.”
Baba Dool proved to be a lovely place to stay during my three days in Aswan. The people at the accommodation - led by the friendly Laura - were kind and generous, and the accommodation also offers help regarding transport for nearby sites (by either taxi or ferry). The location of the hotel is perfect - right on the bank of the Nile, on the edge of the charming Nubian village on Elephantine Island. It’s only a 5 minute walk to the local ferry depot over to Aswan which made it a convenient place to stay while also being very peaceful. I’d highly recommend this as a place to stay!

“Quiet stay watching the Nile flow”
Lovely quiet location with impressive views over the Nile and botanical garden. Simple clean rooms, comfortable beds. Nice breakfast. Very pleasant owner and staff. Perfect place to watch the river and just relax. Can only recommend!

The hotel is right by the nile. Its very cozy and quiet. Its also clean. The best part is the staff, which are so nice and helpfull. They made our stay so much better! Overall the experience was great!

I recommend this hotel We had a nice time in this nice litle hotel . We enjoyed particularly meeting all the staff they are very kind and welcoming. Thank you Ahmed for you kindness and our chat we enjoyed sharing our culture ❤️🐊 The location on the island is nice because it’s very quiet and it’s a bit of nature. (No car allowed on the island) The view from the terrasse is really nice. We can cross to the other side thank to a ferry public boat (15EGP pound per personne in march 2026) from 6.am to 10pm We had an excursion to Abu Simbel at 4am and they arrange the boat for us to cross the island at that time (ferry was close) very accomodating ! They also propose some excursion to Abu Simbel at good price.

Fantastic guesthouse, ideal location, peaceful setting, delicious breakfasts, and above all, the kindness of the hosts made all the difference. A warm welcome and they were very accommodating in organizing excursions. I will remember this place fondly and will definitely return! Thank you for everything !

“Like Home”
The Stuff and the owner are so friendly and welcoming. It felt like home to stay here. Its quiet and calm, directly at the nile and you can see the sunset for dinner with a beautiful view

Hosts are very welcominng and kind. Location is probably one of the best on the island. Lots of spaces to lounge watch the Nile and West Bank. I'd definitely go back.

A wonderful stay at Beit Nubi – Aswan Village. The place is peaceful, clean, and truly reflects the authentic Nubian spirit. Hagga Om Shihab was extremely kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and authentic experience in Aswan.

“My favourite place to stay on Elephantine Island”
I enjoyed the balcony with the views, the different social areas, the proximity to the river so I could swim, Raghda was very useful and I loved her smile as she served breakfast in the morning, Ahmad's friendliness and watching him put such care into the aesthetics, all the colours and decorations, the room had everything I needed, Decent value for money. I am excited to come back again 😊

Best place to stay in Elephanine island. Ahmed was great, as was the accomodation staff, always ready to help. It has probably the best view of the Nile and the quietest terrace in the island. It's just magical.

Recommended! Quiet location on the island with beautiful view! Rooms were clean with comfortable beds and A/C was working well. Staff was amazing and so friendly, they arranged everything for us: temple visit, boat taxi, airport pick up, breakfast.
