“Beautifully located hotel”

We enjoyed our time here. Being next to the pool was great. Being on the outskirts of Chora, the hotel was very quiet at night. But it was a short walk to the centre of Chora.

We had a truly lovely stay at Tholaria – a beautiful, quaint place with stunning views and a real sense of calm. The hotel itself is tastefully designed and felt very special from the moment we arrived. Our room was elegant, comfortable, and peaceful, and the included breakfast was excellent with a generous and varied selection. Only minutes from the busy centre of hora. The hostess was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay – offering great suggestions for things to do and places to visit around the island and sorted out moto hire too! Offered us a lift from and to the port. The staff warm hospitality made us feel right at home. There is a swimming pool and jacuzzi area with great potential, though we did not use them much.

“Lovely place for a relaxing holiday with wonderful breakfast”

We were happy to stay in this lovely hotel for one week. Maria and family were very nice and helpful. The hotel is located on a nice spot with fantastic view to the sea, very quiet and at walking distance to Livadi beach and the Chora (for drinks and restaurants); our balcony was lovely and placed just above the nice swimming-pool. Breakfast varied every day and offered handmade, delicious specialities - with option to sit outside on the terrace also. We enjoyed every mornig - thank you! The entire house is modern, furnished with lot of care and taste, our room had all comfort needed (with fridge, well equipped and nice bathroom, fresh towels every day if wanted, extra towel for the pool); We also loved the E-bus that Astypalea offers (Asty-Bus); it was so easy exploring the island with with comfortable and environmentally friendly E-Bus! Thank you Maria for caring for my moving-sickness! We highly recommend your beautiful relaxing hotel and hope to come back!

A wonderful stay. Our room had an incredible view across the bay and up to Chora. Breakfast was a delight. Everyday, different Greek specialties along with the regular staples. Room was spotless and cleaned while we had breakfast, so efficient. Location is good. Short walk up to the main town of Chora and short / steep walk down to the beach. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Check the view from our room below. Excellent value for money and a delightful, relaxing time here. Thank you!!

“Beautiful boutique hotel with great views”

A lovely and well maintained boutique hotel, with an excellent pool and beautiful views all around. Feeling of privacy and a very welcoming staff. The pool area is very clean with a great view. We stayed at the Imerovigli suite and the Castelano room. Both are great, but the first was better in our view.

Excellent boutique hotel in a perfect location. 5 minutes walk to Chora and 5 minutes walk to the beautiful Livadi Beach. The hotel is family run, the owners and staff are very friendly, you immediately feel at home here. Excellent, rich breakfast, international and with homemade local specialties, which are lovingly explained by host Lisa. Always perfect service from the very friendly owner Maria, be it picking you up at the airport, reserving a rental car, taxi or just providing information about good tips. The rooms are very clean and lovingly furnished, you just feel comfortable here, like at home. The owners of the hotel also own a yacht on which they offer day trips to the offshore islands with the most beautiful bathing bays. This unique opportunity should not be missed. Owner and skipper Mike as also crewmember Mike leave nothing to be desired, with cool drinks, snacks and a sensational final meal. An absolutely relaxed, friendly atmosphere, as if you were out with friends. An unforgettable experience that is unique.

Strategic and wonderful place to stay . Note , It’s about walking distance from Chora and Livadi - the two key locations night life is taking off in Astypalaia- while the views from the dwelling are breathtaking! Subtle taste in decoration and attention to details ! Breakfast is varied and varying every day with scrumptious local specialties and home made receipes! Μrs Litsa the owner , is an excellent , reliable guide of the island always prompt to instantly fill you in with the pertaining details Of note this was the second time for us visiting the island and the dwelling and we certainly enjoyed it!

This is a complete gem of a hotel. Full of character, charm and individuality, every detail combines to draw you into the enchantment of this most enchanting of islands. The endlessly varied breakfast menu exemplified the care and flair which make Greek home cooking so special. The hotel is owned and run by a warm and gracious family, who take evident pride in the special place they have created. They spared no effort to ensure that we go the most out of our stay, and left us determined to return at the earliest opportunity.

The views were spectacular from my private hot tub which was such a beautiful experience. The beds super comfortable. The traditional home made greek foods for breakfast was lovely and the place felt very homely and comfortable especially because the staff were so lovely. Perfectly safe for a solo traveller like myself.
