Maria was a wonderful host, very kind and helpful. On arrival a fridge full of various drinks and a large tray full of snacks on the table. Astypalaia is a beautiful island with one of the prettiest Chora's in the islands.

For 16 years travelling to Greece ths has been the best host and the best place we have atayed at.First, the location is great for the beaches, Chora,restaurants and the port.Srcond,the view to the castle,chora and the sea is amazing. Third,it is spotless clean and is cleaned every day,there is everything you could need to cook,eat etc,the bed is comfortable with high qualty mattress and pillows.But most of all, Maria made our stay unforgettable with her generosity and hospitality, starting from the way se organised and paid for our transfer from the airport,providing home made sweets for us every day,shealso lef everything you need for breakfast and snacks for all days, great coffe,sweet tasty bottle of wine and plenty of drinks and gifts. She even let us use her fat for the lastday until 18.00 when our ferry left. Overall, amazing,brilliant,unforgettable,thank you Maria for everything.

The most welcoming and friendly hostess we’ve ever met! She had a lot of treats for us in the room fresh fruits, homemade sweet, wine..everything!! The room was excellent, spacious, super clean and in great location! This place is exceptional and for sure will stay again in Stampalia next year!

This was the second time staying at Stampalia Luxury Suits and everything was fantastic once again; the rooms, kitchen and bathroom were sparkling clean, comfortable mattresses, powerful shower, great location within walking distance to all restaurants and the Chora. Balconies overlooking the church bell and the castle with great panoramic views of the sea. Yet again, the highlight of the stay is the hostess Maria; with her warm smile, kindness, openness, generosity elevates the experience to another level that makes you want to come to this place again and again. Allin all, one more exceptional stay at this wonderful place run by the beautiful Maria of our soul.

The property is tastefully furnished with quality furniture, bed and kitchen appliances. It is well situated a short distance above the port with harbour view. The covered outside area has a small table and chairs plus suspended egg shaped chairs at the front to enjoy the view. The air conditioning works perfectly plus there is good natural air flow. Comfy lounge and the bed is extra large with quality linen. Serviced daily and very clean and fresh smelling. The owner Maria is an absolute gem. Friendly, generous and answers queries promptly and helpfully. She makes fantastic sweets and snacks daily which we loved. A truly wonderful host.

Everything was beautiful! The apartment is great, nicely decorated and has everything. Bed is super comfy! The service provided by Maria was nothing short than outstanding. Cleaning, the delicious cakes we’d get every day just to mention a few and on top, she is super friendly. She loves seeing her guests happy and I can say we were very very happy! The perfect base to explore the Island. Go to Maria’s place and you won’t regret!!

We absolutely loved everything about the studio! It's incredibly well-organized, with windows in every room and a fantastic terrace that's perfect for enjoying any time of day. The kitchen is so well-equipped that you can make coffee in any flavor you can imagine. Every single detail of the studio has been thoughtfully designed to ensure guest comfort. Maria was incredibly helpful and attentive, fulfilling all of our requests upon arrival and communicating with us in a friendly and welcoming manner. She was incredibly kind to us, and we hope to return soon!

Everything. The apartment, the facilities, the location, the host, the drinks & food given to us upon arrival and all the savour food andfresh baked cakes left for us every day of our stay. We were even given a present from our host Maria to take home with us. We have been all over Greece and the Greek islands and have never been treated so well or had such great accomodation. Loved the swing seats on our balcony. Very highly recommend this accomodation. Would give it more than 10 if we could.

The appartment was very handily near the port so excellent location for us as we were moving to different islands . A bit of a walk up to the chora but this didn’t bother us as we got a car for a couple of the days we were there.

My stay at this place was fabulous! My split level flat was perfect, fully equipped to serve all your needs, cool and quite, next to the bus stop and rent a car outlets. From my balcony I could marvel at at Venetian castle and the quiet harbour of Pera Yalos. The island is beautiful with amazing little coves where you can relax and swim in pristine waters. I recommend walking around Hora, enjoying the spectacular views and the local architecture. People are friendly and helpful. What will stay with me though is my host Maria. She made anything she could to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The amount of snacks and drinks she left in my room was very much appreciated but I was really touched by the fact that she left fresh pies and cakes she in my fridge every day which I enjoyed coming back from the beach! I travelled far and wide and visited many Greek islands but I have never experienced that level of hospitality. Thank you Maria ( and her husband Vasilis) for making me feel part of their family! Everything was absolutely perfect, the apartment was extremely clean, modern, equipped with everything you might need. The bed was very comfortable, with a selection of pillows, the air-conditioning worked very well and the shower was powerful. Maria is a real diamond of a lady, she responded very quickly to all messages. She goes above and beyond with the service provided. An incredible treasure, who seems to have a heart of gold. We were received with open arms like old friends. She acted like a fairie, delivering bakes to our fridge everyday, replenishing the baskets with coffee and all odds of snacks. We can honestly say that she makes Stampalia one of the best accomodation we have ever stayed in on all our travels. There are not enough words to described the accommodation, the hospitality and the welcome we received. For close to fifty years my wife and I have enjoyed many wonderful holidays in Greece. Recently, at Stampalia in Astypalaia, we enjoyed several perfect days which surpass everything we have hitherto experienced. All Stampalia reviews attest to the hospitality, kindness, generosity and hard work of an amazing host - Maria. We firmly endorse all those positive comments. In common with everyone, we also very much appreciated the comfortable, modern and spotlessly clean accommodation. Moreover, we were also especially touched by Maria’s gestures of kindness, on a daily basis - the lovely cakes and other assorted tasty treats etc. As others have commented, this is not intrusive, by any means, but acts of kindness from a host whose heart is in the right place and simply wants to ‘go that extra mile’. She is most definitely a ‘people person’ who is genuinely enthusiastic about providing the best possible experience for those under her roof. At Stampalia, Maria has set ‘the bar’ very high indeed for providing quality accommodation and hospitality. As with many other visitors, we look forward to returning at the earliest possible opportunity.
