A relaxing place to unwind after a long drive! We were driving from Calais and stopped here for a night. Ilse is a great and kind host, very friendly and makes sure you have everything you need. We took our labrador with us and he enjoyed the place as well with ample greenery to run around and explore. The rooms were cozy and comfy. We'll stay here again.

This is now the second time we stayed with Ilse. For us it is the perfect resting place after long travel. The house is beautiful and very cosy. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and have excellent beds. The breakfast is excellent and beautifully laid out. You eat in peace and quiet next to your own room. This is a great place to book if you have a pet. You can walk out to the quiet countryside straight from the door. I highly recommend this cozy lovely B&B

“A perfect stay, and a memorable experience”

We arrived late and tired from travel to a house that felt like home. Ilse greeted us and served us freshly made delicious soup. The property is beautiful and well maintained old farm, and has a historical feel to it. The best way to summarise our stay is that this is not a B&B, it is an experience. We stayed at “De Opkamer” and it was inviting for us and our dogs. The bed is large and of very high quality. The supper, and the breakfast, are very tasty and I recommend paying the small price for the breakfast. This place is ideal for travelling with pets, you can leave your room and walk in the countryside in a minute. In Ilse’s B&B there is also a lovely home decoration boutique, run by Anushka. They were creating wool blankets, sourced locally. We ended up buying a few beautiful pieces for our home. This property is highly recommended, great value, and a memorable experience. Ilse is the perfect host.

Nice and quiet place out of town. Very friendly host and beautiful house and garden.

Very nice place, old farmhouse but all renewed in new style, very beautiful . Few minute drive to next town, Asten. The beds are very good and everything taking good care of. Quiet and nice. We liked to visit the horses and the chickens. We liked the fields around. A nice place to relax.

The owner and host Ilse has arranged the place to be a beautiful oasis. Sheets of very high quality, interior details, with all kind of small personal details. Our dog Charlie loved both the place and the host, and did not want to leave... We did not expect a lot, but this stop over was worth a trip by itself. Good breakfast with fresh bread, butter, cheese, juice, coffee, fruit and croissants! Served in a cosy little room at the cottage. A nice little garden in the backyard, and a small ateljé for children in a separate building.

If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful place this is the place. A wonderful owner who will take care of even the smallest details. You walk in the door and you already have the impression that this is the place where you will spend a wonderful night. A beautiful room with a comfortable bed and bedding that lulls you to sleep. On request, you will receive breakfast, which is served in a beautiful way and there will certainly be nothing missing. And you will get all this in a beautiful area where the garden is well cared for and pleases the eyes. I also want to point out that our stay was with a dog who was treated very well, which is rare now. I highly recommend this place.

Everything was great! The hostess, Ilse, has great taste and the house is nicely decorated in a chic countryside style. The rooms are very comfortable, and the ambience very cozy and friendly. I felt right at home!
