“The Feast of St Assisi Weekend”

This is a very special retreat residence. It exceeded my expectations in every way. The location is just short drive (car is essential) from Assisi. The view is stunning and it is so peaceful. The host helped in every way possible including making excellent restaurant suggestions.

If you enjoy the silence, this is the place to be when visiting Assisi. Great house on a hill with view on Assisi. The house offers a lot of privacy and is very well equiped. Pleasant communication with the owner who offers free coffee, tea and a good bottle of wine. Also a lot of good tips for restaurants and places to visit. Our dog Tommy simply loved it over here.

A place like a hidden paradise, highly recommended for a few days’ stay. You will feel a sense of tranquility and peace. Paolo and his sister are wonderful people, and they have prepared everything you might need.

Relax, peace and nature. Adorable place to be. Wonderful house with fantastic panoramic view. House has everything what you need, well equipped kitchen so can have nice breakfast and cosy dinner outside. Every detail gives you home feeling. We really enjoyed our stay and we are looking in future to come back!

“Cosy house with impressive view”

This house has space enough to comfortably accomodate 4 people. There are 2 bathrooms, a super-equipped kitchen and a large living room including a cosy fireplace. There is a wide space also outside, with an impressive panoramic view on Assisi. Assisi can be reached easily by car. The host will provide a hint on where to park at ease in Assisi even when the town is full of tourists. The host is very friendly and helps for anything at any time.

“We had an idyllic stay”

Unless you are a die-hard lover of noise and crowds, you cannot top this hidden gem. It is a house on a hill, overlooking Assisi, with olive trees all around. It was a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The house was beautiful, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was very comfortable. It was a great location for trips to other beautiful towns in the region, and a very short drive to Assisi as well. Additionally, there was free parking in front of the house. The host was very friendly and very helpful. To summarize, we had an idyllic stay.

Wonderful cottage, under big pines and oaks, on the top of the hill with a view on Assisi, very quiet, easily accessible by car, free parking on site. Fantastic mornings and evenings at the outside sitting. Few minutes by car to Assisi, perfect base for trips on Umbria. Perfectly equipped kitchen, cosy bathrooms and bedroom, very clean, top wine can be bought from the owner. The owner also kindly arranged for us the can of olive oil. Amazing place where we wish to return again! If you search for a quiet nice place with atmosphere, this is the right place for you.

The outlook, position and peace and quiet were outstanding The hosts have thought of everything in the kitchen. A very large self contained house in the country just moments to Assisi. In fact you overlook Assisi The host was so helpful from booking restaurant’s to telling us about the area You must go there as the photos don’t do it justice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Residenza San Fortunato. The house is located on a mountain top with astonishing views of Assisi. It is ideal for a couple or a small family, it contains everything you need for a comfortable stay. Perfect place if you are looking for a peaceful stay with great views and short distances from major touristic destinations in Perugia/Umbria. Our host, Paolo, was very friendly and helpful.

“A very special place”

What an amazing location. Surrounded by nature, including the glimpse of a squirrel a few times. Fantastic views in a few directions including across to Assisi. Paolo was probably one of the best hosts I've come across; always available, helpful and really friendly. The home is spacious, comfortable and modern while maintaining the traditional feel of the area. Lots of instant hot water, and screens on all windows means you can keep windows open and let in the breeze, which is wonderful to have in Summer. As the temperature climbed, the house stayed cool, especially in the bedrooms downstairs. We didn't even need to turn on the air-conditioning. It was a relief to return here each day. It's a complete home, and the full sized oven, stove and fridge meant it was easy to prepare food when you want to stay in and enjoy this little slice of heaven. While it's probably necessary to drive a car if you want to really see the area, we also enjoyed walking up to some signed paths, past a 1,000 year old chapel! We'd come back to the area just to stay in this home!

If you want a get away in a quiet, wooded area, this is the place for you. Easily accesible by car and half an hour away from many sites and towns in Perugia. The hosts are lovely and very accommodating, I would suggest a stay here to anyone!

Fantastic time out from everyday life. Unfortunately, there are only 10 stars, so we can't give it a better rating. In the residence, you have great peace and a wonderful view of Assisi. We really liked it and the hosts made a lot of effort to give us an unforgettable time.
