Offering outstanding views of the valley and featuring a garden, Hotel Ideale is located in Assisi, 100 metres from the San Rufino Cathedral. Our stay at Hotel Ideale was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect – within easy walking distance of all the main attractions of Assisi while still offering peace and tranquility. The sunsets from the hotel are simply breathtaking and were one of the highlights of our trip. The views over the Umbrian countryside are unforgettable. What made our stay especially memorable was the warm, family atmosphere. Every morning, breakfast was served with genuine care and kindness by the older gentleman, who made us feel more like guests in a family home than visitors in a hotel. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Ideale for such a special experience. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Assisi

Terrific place in Assisi. We stayed in a apartment which was located at a different location, a few minutes walking from the hotel. The apartment is big and most comfortable. room is big, beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is great. Shower was convenient. The apartment is located at the entrance to the old town in a superb location with parking. Neighbors are quiet and nice. We didnt have breakfast, but the balcony which you can eat at, has the MOST beautiful view.

It’s a small, family-run hotel with wonderful staff. My room was clean, stylish, and very comfortable. I loved the breakfast, and the view from the hotel terrace was breathtaking.

“Peaceful and charming stay”
We stayed at the annex for two nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location is stunning, set in the medieval town of Assisi, tucked away in a cosy mews that feels peaceful and authentic. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, spacious, and equipped with every comfort you could need. It strikes the perfect balance between charm and practicality, making it easy to relax and feel at home. The area is incredibly tranquil — you can breathe in the fresh air, admire the beautiful night sky, and wake up in the morning to the delightful sound of a rooster singing, which adds to the unique atmosphere. Everything is within walking distance, including the town centre, the magnificent Basilica di San Francesco d'Assisi, and the Sanctuary of Carlo Acutis. It was truly an amazing stay, and we would happily return.

“Best place to stay in Assisi”
Fantastic location and beautiful terrace with stunning views of Assisi. Better view than any bar or restaurant we found. The rooms were beautiful and clean. Lovely family run hotel.

“a magical setting for a few days break”
The view over Assisi was exceptional and easily seen from the garden and terrace. It was pleasant to chose from a variety of seating positions a place to sit and read, have a drink and just enjoy the atmosphere. Breakfast was a delight, quite a variety of tempting treats beautifully displayed on a platter. There was coffee, orange and water set out, everything you could want.
