A nice property at a traditional building in Assergi, I stayed there while visiting LNGS but it can be an excellent base for trekking on Gran Sasso. The owner is very friendly and serves a nice breakfast every morning. The room is as in the photos, quite spacious for 2 people and despite the cold weather, it was quite warm!

The hospitality of the owner is what made the experience great! Very prompt in answering our questions even before our stay. He offered us coffee and biscuits from when we arrived and also recommended place for dinner. Room is clean and warm even during winter. The bathroom is complete with towels, soap, and with hairdryer. The water pressure from the shower is also good. There are complementary sweets as well. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy breakfast but we had to leave early morning. Would recommend this place!

Ideal location right at the foothills of Gran Sasso. The apartment was nestled up a tiny street in a lovely little village. The host Peppe was very friendly and provided a lovely breakfast. We chatted about the mountains and he advised on some of the best hikes in the area. Parking was a bit tight and the streets were quite narrow so be weary if driving anything larger than a Fiat 500!
