Overview
Yunoyado Irifune offers public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and traditional multi-course meals. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and guests can rent bicycles to tour the area. JR Aso Train Station is a 15-minute drive away. The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Japanese Yukata robes and toothbrush sets are provided for all guests. A flat-screen TV, fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags are included. A private toilet is included in all rooms, while bathroom facilities are shared. Massages can be requested for an extra cost and a private reservable hot-spring is available as well, if reserved in advance. Free parking and drink vending machines are on-site. Traditional multi-courses featuring local homegrown vegetables are served for dinner at the guests’ room. Special Nakai-san services are offered and Japanese set menus are served for breakfast. Irifune Yunoyado is a 20-minute drive from Aso Shrine and a 25-minute drive from Aso Farm Village.

“A fantastic stay for family of 5 in mount aso area”
Great location in Mount Aso in the heart of town. The onsen is a sulfur bath which leaves your skin feeling refreshed and Moisturised. There is a very conducive sitting room with fireplace and ground coffee provided. We were able to fit a family of 5 in the tatami room which is very unusual for hotels / ryokans. The tatami room is very comfortable. Nepalese staff are all English speaking and can help with translation.

We could fit a family of 5 pax in one room which is very hard to find in Aso . The big family room had a toilet, en-suite and toilet in the room with excellent WiFi.

“Great place for ryokan experience!”
Staff at check-in and check-out is able to communicate in English. The private onsen bath rooms are fantastic. Dinner and breakfast that are included in half board package are fresh and delicious!
