“Great stay”

This was a very pleasant experience. The property is next to the road and very easy to find. Both breakfast and dinner were extremely tasty and delicious, a true feast. The staff was kind and welcoming, and the baths were very clean. Overall a great stay.

The location is excellent for hiking in the area, and good supermarkets. The private bath was a real treat and the place is quiet and spotlessly clean.

Spent only one night here, and disappointed not staying longer. Charming place beside a main road out of Aso. Attractive comfortable room with tea-making (ocha) facilities, sink and toilet. Shared external bath-house was very nice. Can bathe as couple/family.

The staff were so welcoming, the room was clean and the family bathhouse was amazing.

Loved the private onsens, that was a really good experience. We appreciated the nice traditional room, and the kind staff.

Very spacious rooms (we did book the family-sized as it was the only one left available but that meant we had lots of space). Traditional aesthetic was nice. Ample parking. The onsen was great to use.

Stay was very pleasant. Check-in and check-out were smooth, thanks to their friendly staff. Our room was clean with the necessary amenities. For dinner and breakfast, we were asked to book our timing in advance during check-in. Both kaiseki meals were good (well exceeded expectations! The private onsen was the highlight of the stay.

The onsen was a very nice surprise. And the breakfast and the people there were the best.

The private bath is clean and well-maintained. The room was spacious and the futon was already laid out. The meals included was delicious, especially dinner with local meats.

“Perfect stay in a ryokan. Perfect kaiseki dinner.”

1. Pleasant quiet ryokan along the road but we could not hear any traffic noise from our room. 2. Room was big and comfortable. It has an attached toilet but no bathroom. You need to go outside to use the bathrooms which are just a stone's throw away from the main ryokan. The ryokan as only ten rooms., and it has four bathrooms. 3. Bathrooms are quite large and clean, although they are communal. It was a large heated pool for you to soak in but it is not an onsen. 4. The dinner was the best in our 10 day trip. It was a kaiseki meal and the beef was so tasty and tender. 5. The lady in charge ( hotel belongs to her ) was very friendly and helpful . 6. Park your car right in front of the hotel.
