“A well supplied and comfortable retreat near an Onsen and Mt Aso trails and sites.”
If you have a car, location is excellent with a separate Onsen only steps away, where they offer public and private rooms. It's also convenient to get to the trails of Mt Aso and other local sightseeing. The home itself if wonderful with 2 bedrooms upstairs (1 western, 1 tatami mats), and a full bath on main level with kitchen, dining, living, and many electronics available to use. They are even very generous with some supplies in the refrigerator (which we greatfully used as we forgot to buy Mayo at the store) and access to some shochu (which we conservatively sampled a few of the open bottles). The views are wonderful and we were there in the autumn and you could see the colors of the valley. We would HIGHLY recommend. We did exploring and hiking during the day and returned home to Onsen and then end the day with board games. It was perfect!

“Comfortable stay for family.”
The house has good outdoor space with chairs and BBQ pit facing Mt Aso. Fully equipped BBQ tools for free, kotatsu table and heathen pot area good for family gathering too.. Kitchen is quite well equipped, with enough cutleries and crockery. Bedrooms are functional and comfortable. The bathtub has auto water heating feature. Sufficient heating and lighting to feel very comfortable.

“Gorgeous house with all the trimmings”
Beautiful house with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay for several days. A real entertainer's home with nice little touches, like a charcoal burner room, kotatsu in the living room, guitar and entertainment system. There was also a washing machine, full bath, BBQ outside, and full kitchen with condiments. If I am in Mt Aso again I will stay here.
