Overview
Situated in Asnières-la-Giraud, among fields and vineyards, Domaine de Chantageasse is an old 17th century farmhouse with annex buildings around a large floral courtyard with multipe seating/lounge areas. We offer a seasonal outdoor pool with beds, shade and lounge area, lots of play options for children and free WiFi access. There are 5 cottages and 4 rooms to choose from, with views onto the courtyard garden or the meadow and pool. The cottages are self-catering with a sitting/dining room and kitchen and a furnished private terrace in front of the cottage. Breakfast can only be booked in July and August. We don't serve dinner. The rooms are including breakfast (July and August) and towels. Guests have access to a communal sitting room and fully equipped kitchen and there's tables and chairs on the main terrace to eat outside. Saint-Jean-d'Angély is a 10-minute drive away. Saintes is 20 km and Cognac is 30 km away. There is a private unsupervised car park just outside the main entrance of Domaine de Chantageasse.

“Perfect start in our family vacation”
Our kids had a blast here! It was so much room for them: play in the pool, play air hockey, use the goals for a soccer match. Just great! The room was big.

Wonderful location, beautifully presented gite and the owner was friendly and welcoming. The games barn and pool were loved by my children. It's a perfect place to relax for adults. There are also plenty of things to keep children occupied. Stunning location in the heart of the countryside but within easy reach of fabulous beaches and local towns like Cognac. Highly recommended.

Welcoming and helpful host, the property is beautiful, in the middle of the countryside, but a short drive from St Jean d’Angely. Our rooms were in the main house: we had a family room with a double bed and two single bed, perfect for a family. Breakfast was nice and served in the courtyard/ garden. Great for kids, with lots of games and toys available, including a small playground and a swimming pool!

Wonderful property full of character in a peaceful location. Ideal for those seeking a relaxing getaway or unusual overnighter. Lovely gardens and swimming pool terrace to enjoy. Also a great selection of table top games in the barn. We loved our room with its high ceilings and modern French styling. Our host was great - friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Access to the communal kitchen a bonus when staying in the main house. A great choice whether you are travelling as a couple or with friends and family.

Great find for rustic and pretty accommodation. Outstanding facilities for children: trampoline, play areas, pool, table games, etc etc. Welcoming host who made the stay comfortable. Filling breakfast to start the day right. Countryside views.

Great accommodation in a lovely location that suited our holiday exploring the local area, beaches and towns. Mark and Jessica are great hosts, really friendly, welcoming and provided good suggestions for places to visit and eat. The pool was a real bonus and especially welcome with the hot sunny days we had. As a couple the accommodation suited us very well but it would work really well also for family groups.

Host was very welcoming and showed us around when we arrived. There are plenty of activities, in addition to the pool, which is great if you bring kids, or if you like to play yourself. Breakfast was not very large, but had everything one can expect from a B&B, and the host made sure it was ready a bit early since we had to leave the B&B early in the morning. Overall a great stay.
