Location was a little further out than we thought but the view was amazing, the mountains even having the pig and lamas around the field added to the whole picture of the place, lovely stay.

The location was exceptional. A country cottage on a plateau surrounded by mountains. Alpacas and sheep grazed nearby. There were almost no people around. The house was spacious and very well-equipped. It had everything we needed. I would definitely return there again.

Scenery so good it doesn't seem real. All the facilities you could need. The stars on a clear night in the wood-fired tub is pretty special. Friendly Kunekune that loved a good scratch.

Fox Cottage was simply outstanding. The house is beautiful and spacious, with four large bedrooms and incredibly comfortable beds that made it easy to relax and unwind. The views are breathtaking and made every morning and evening feel special. The hot tub was a real highlight – perfect for soaking in and taking in the stunning surroundings. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay, making cooking and entertaining easy.

We love it that the property is secluded and away from the main roads. The beautiful view of the mountain makes our stay peaceful and serene. Property is furnished with quality furniture and fittings. The beds and pillows are so comfy! The hot tub is a luxury.

The remote location was amazing. We spent our whole stay nipping in and out of the wood fired hot tub, admiring the mountains and enjoying the sounds of swallows flying overhead, and the farm animals of course.

It was a perfect property. Absolutely stunning.

A charming and cozy retreat set in the heart of a secluded landscape, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, endless green fields, and star-filled night skies. The property is surrounded by friendly neighbors, including a pair of alpacas, Kunekune pigs, and the occasional passing herd of sheep. Hamish and Anna are attentive and responsive hosts. A special thanks for the memorable tour of their deer farm that they were so kind to arrange. We would love to return if we ever find ourselves in this part of the world again.

It was the perfect getaway. Though we had planned to go skiing and tramping, we stayed on the farm most of the time as it was so relaxing. It had unbelievable views and was very peaceful.

This home was fabulous and just as described. Plenty of space for everyone, every appliance you could need+well equipped. The setting + views are second to none and absolutely make sure you crank up the wood fired hot tub! Fairlie is only 15mins down the road + a pleasant drive in itself. Wood fire heated entire house+was really really easy to get going. Thanks Anna for popping ova + helping out with the tub! No hesitation at all in coming back for another epic stay.

Exceptional mountain view scenery and location. . So quiet and peaceful . Loved soaking in the wood fire hot tub and looking at the stars at night. The cottage has everything you need for a great stay.
