“Wonderful property”

Location was perfect, at the edge of the Nubian village within a few minutes walk to a wonderful sandy beach. Staff were also very friendly, and the food at the restaurant was authentic.

Staff is lovely, space is clean and cozy.

Firstly, let's make it clear that Doroka is a personal and welcoming guest house and in a fantastic area of Aswan. The staff are very warm, welcoming and helpful.

Having in mind that it is a guesthouse in the Nubian Village, the accomodation itself is quite good.

Authentic Nubian experience while staying here. Best part of the experience came from the staff. All are so nice and took well care of us. Sala organised our trip to AbubSimbal and luxor at very reasonable cost and in very good condition a/c cars. (You can get very old , run down taxis in egypt). Food at the resturant was very authentic and tastie as well. We stayed in their king suite which has nice views Nile from wide windows. Location of the hotel is very convenient as well in the Nubian village Highly recommend if you are planning to stay in Nubian village

The hotel is located at a tourist place, not easy to get there, but the place is really beautiful and colourful. The staffs at hotel are helpful.

This place truly impressed me with its location and overall atmosphere. Staying by the Nile felt magical, and the food was exceptionally delicious, which really enhanced the experience. If we overlook the limited English, everything else was fantastic. The beds were comfortable, and although the water pressure was a bit weak, it was a minor issue compared to the feeling of being in such a beautiful and unique setting. I would definitely recommend it

He was an incredible help throughout our journey in the Nubian Valley, along the Nile. Doroka House is a splendid and truly beautiful guest house, perfectly reflecting traditional Nubian architecture. The welcome was excellent, communication was fast and efficient, and everything was perfectly organized. We were picked up by taxi without any stress, and nothing was forgotten. Sana also perfectly organized our next step toward Luxor with an excellent private taxi, allowing us to stop at every major highlight along the way, including the Aswan High Dam, Kom Ombo Temple, and Edfu Temple. He also arranged our visit to Philae Temple and helped us enjoy an unforgettable felucca ride at sunset — a truly magical experience. I highly recommend this place and gladly give it five stars. “Highly recommended to have rest and a touch of Nubian culture with an affordable budget.”

The cultural environment is remarkable. You can have a real feeling of the Nubian culture, and their cuisine and kindness. All the staff was really helpful and giving the extra mile to make us sense welcome. Salah, one of the hotel managers, gave us even a tour through the valley and the Nubian homes in the area. Equally, he helped us to get safe transport to get to the airport, and even with breakfast to take away. The property is on the east bank of the Nile river, just in front of the water, which made really easy to take Nile tours with the hotel. Equally relevant, the hotel is just 30 minutes by car to the airport.
