Overview
The Hotel La Perla is located on a sunny and central place on the hillside of Ascona, just 2 minutes' walk away from the centre and its famous lake promenade. All rooms feature a bathroom, desk, a TV, minibar, safe, telephone and WiFi connection. Some rooms come with a balcony. Enjoy panoramic views over Ascona and the lake or towards the garden from your room. A breakfast buffet consisting of fresh fruit, bread, cold cuts, cheese, as well as lactose free products is offered. The onsite restaurant serves mixed grill with vegetables, salad buffet and dessert buffet every Wednesday. E-bikes can be rented for a fee, while electric car charging stations are provided for free. Massages and treatments can be booked in advance. The golf course is just a 12-minute walk away.

I particularly like the kindness of the personnel. They were absolutely more than helpful after I had made a huge blunder on my booking. The view on the mountains and lake are beautiful. Gluten free options are available also for breakfast. Loved the style of the place and the modernised bathrooms.

The location of the hotel was great. The AC in the room was also a life saver on a hot weekend. I also appreciated that easiness of checking in online. We also had a beautiful view from our balcony.

We stayed one night at La Perla last weekend. While the place was generally pleasant, there were a few inconveniences: the showerhead was broken, the water pressure was quite low, and the parking spot was very tight. With a few improvements, the stay could have been much more comfortable.

My second time in this hotel, because I liked it very much! It's clean, perfectly located: just at the entrance to the old town, slightly higher, which gives an amazing panoramic view, especially from the roof terrace and the dining room. My single room was comfortable, had a balcony and bathroom. All clean. Coffee machine, tee and coffee available. Only the pillow was uncomfortable for me. The breakfast buffet was fine with hot and cold, sweet and savoury options. However, the choice was not too big. I missed vegetables. All in all, I enjoyed staying in the hotel!

I lost an expensive bracelet whilst there, and I believe a member of staff handed it in at reception, which I was very grateful for. We stayed in the villa, which was spacious, and it was cleaned to a high standard. There was plenty of choice for breakfast each morning.

“Great location, beautiful views, functional rooms and good breakfast.”
This hotel has a great location, just outside the pedestrian zone of Ascona. Private parking is available. Rooms are comfortable and functional. Views from the restaurant terrace is fantastic and breakfast is very good.

Staff was absolutely amazing, reception staff are really great at their job, and so very nice! The location of the hotel is really great, a few steps away from all the sights and the old town. We also had lake view from our balcony which was awesome! Beds and linens were comfortable, and the breakfast was also really abundant and great!

“Exceptional”
The staff were super nice and friendly… rooms and everything were very clean. The hotel is in a great location close to the bus station and many touristic places. There is a rooftop terrace, it is without service but you can just sit there relax and enjoy the stunning view of the Lake Maggiore and Ascona town. The breakfast was great though there were no much veggies options. Additionally, they generously provided transportation tickets for buses and trains in Ticino during my stay, which was a very thoughtful touch!
