Overview
Podere Fornaci is just 200 metres from the village of Monte Sante Marie and 19 km from Siena. The farmhouse is set in its own gardens with outdoor swimming pool, sun terrace and barbecue. Parking is free. The rustic apartments of the Podere come with kitchen or kitchenette, terracotta and parquet floors, and exposed wooden beams on the ceilings. You can rent bicycles on site and explore the surrounding hills and olive groves, or go fishing in a small lake nearby.

The location, although is a bit difficult to reach but is extremely beautiful and worth the effort, one of the most underrated stays in the region. Witnessed one of the best sunsets out there. The property as well is serene with a vintage touch.

“Stunning views”
The views from this property are stunning, pictures don’t do it justice! We loved exploring the nature around the house and even spotted some cool lizards, geckos, frogs and toads and birds. The room was well equipped and the swimming pool was a perfect way to cool off on those hot days. Laura and David were fantastic hosts, very welcoming and friendly.

Best view you could possible have, straight from the terrace to the rolling hills of tuscany! Simply: WOW! The owner is nice and helpful. (Try their olive oil). Great value for money, also would consider to return.

“Fantastic view”
The view from your room is fantastic. But unpaved road to the accommodation was not comfortable. You need to used to it. Swimming pool was good.

“Spectacular view from a quiet hilltop”
About the best view I have seen framed in a bedroom window in Tuscany...by day and at night. The farmhouse villa is on the top of a hill looking out over a deeply quiet landscape towards Monte Amiata. We almost felt we had the whole place and pool to ourselves. Apartment was huge. The relaxed hosts David and Laura were so respectful of guests needs for peace and space, and so friendly to talk when we did meet. No hesitation in recommending to anyone now, but actually want it to be just a place for ourselves if returning again.

“A piece of heaven in la Toscana”
Staying at Podere Fornaci has been the highlight of our vacation. So grateful to have found this piece of heaven in the middle of La Toscana. We’ve enjoyed every minute there. The house is beautiful. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment on the first floor. Very spacious, taken care of, clean and fully equipped. The swimming pool with views is spectacular. Barbecue area. Thank you Davide for your courtesy, discretion and kindness.
