The room was very comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains, and the staff were very friendly. We were not able to use the hot tubs because it was quite cold. Complimentary bathrobes and slippers were provided. The breakfast was amazing!

Staff is very nice and welcoming. Dinner was excellent. They asked us if we would like them to wake us up if there is Aurora and they did. We saw Aurora during the night which was amazing. Also good breakfast.

Didn't want to return back to Reykjavic after a day on the Golden Circle so choose this hotel as a stop for onward travel to Vik the next day. Nice location not far from Selfoss and close to the Kerio crater. It has more of a motel vibe and you can park your car outside. Rooms are well appointed with Nespresso machine, small fridge, comfortable beds and small outside terrace with chairs and table to admire the views! Decided to eat in the restaurant for our evening meal rather than driving 10 minutes or so into Selfoss and really glad we did, the food was excellent! Breakfast was great too, lots of choice.

From the moment we arrived we couldn’t fault the hotel, breakfast , we ate in the evenings too and food was amazing , all the staff were friendly and helpful , a smile and happy chat goes a long way, a phone call if the lights were out and clear skies . We would rate it 11/10 if we could if not more

We enjoyed the location, it’s secluded so you are close to nature. Good place for northern lights. They do wake up calls if there is aurora (only if you wish), also they will inform you during dinner if it’s visible so that you can rush out and marvel at it. There is too much light everywhere in the hotel to watch them properly (there are lights on the rooms’ balconies that cannot be turned off), but there is a dirt path dedicated for aurora spotters, so when it appears, you just walk 5min on that path and darkness surrounds you :)

“Excellent Base Camp for the South of Iceland”

​We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely perfect for our itinerary, serving as an ideal base for easily reaching both the Golden Circle attractions and the stunning sights along the Southern Coast. After long days of exploring, the beds were very comfortable. ​A bonus was the lovely hot tub; it was the ultimate way to relax under the Icelandic sky. The breakfast provided was decent, offering enough to get us fueled up and ready for our daily adventures. Highly recommend this spot for anyone road-tripping in the area!
