“Thank you Tetsu and partner!!!”
The operators were super kind and helpful. I was going off on a big hike and didn't know when I'd be back. I left my duffel bag of extra items with them and they watched over it for me until I returned. The cats are also super cute. There was also free breakfast of cereal. You can also use the fridge and stove. It's got everything you need in a backpackers', really!

“Very comfortable and convenient.”
Loved breakfast and the location. The whole space was very homely, and perfect if you like snow sports (there's plenty of hire gear!!). The ashikawa winter festival surrounds it. The dorm space was lovely, warm and had good storage options.

“Would come here again, best hostel I’ve stayed in so far!”
The location was great, 20 Minute walk from the station, very kind owners as well. There was breakfast available (cereal and yogurt) as well as a washing machine and dryer, the showers were clean and it was cozy and warm in the entire hostel. You also had surprisingly much privacy in the beds

“Nice hostel with outdoor rental service”
Nice place where you can meet good people, directly in the pedestrian zone of Asahikawa. Small and very hostel with cute cats and outdoor rental Service. Owner Tetsu was very nice and was supporting me with my shipping luggage and finding a backcountry guide preseason. Will return at the end of my Hokkaido trip.

“Better than what I'd hoped for; will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.”
The owners/hosts are very kind and helpful. They were easy to find if I had any issues, and seemed happy to answer any questions I had about the area. The social space is WONDERFUL with access to a nice kitchen and a table with multiple seat options next to a large span of windows. They also have a washer and dryer if you need to do laundry (which I didn't, but the option was nice). There is an option for a female-only dormitory, and at night it LOCKS, which is amazing peace of mind. They're also very strict and up-front about their courtesy and sound rules, so I was able to sleep peacefully through the night without people talking or packing their suitcases. There are little cubbies you can lock your personal belongings in. (With a key!! Not some random code you might forget.) It's not the largest cubby, but it can fit your computer, camera, passport, etc inside easily. The bed/bunk itself was VERY nice. Each bunk has a futon resting on top of tatami mats, so it's very comfortable to sleep on. There was a BIG pillow, and an extra blanket. There is also some hanging-storage provided for personal belongings, and a clothes-line if you need it. There's also room to put your suitcase and hang your coat. (There's also a light and a MINI FAN. AMAZING.) Also, unlike many hostels, the curtain/bunk is also laid out LONG-ways, so it truly feels like you're in a bunk and not a coffin-sized box. I didn't see it advertised at ALL, but it's conveniently located next to a street that is FILLED with pop-up food shops. It was delightful to have access to so many foods (and desserts) nearby. Genuinely forgot about about the cat(s) until I arrived and saw the sign warning not let them out. (A bonus surprise from my forgetful past self.) There were two; one is much more sociable than the other, though they're both delightful.

“Comfortable sleep”
It's compact but very clean and tidy. The bathrooms and social areas are well kept. The bed space itself is quite comfortable: it has a light, a fan and some space besides the mattress for a couple of backpacks. Also there are free earplugs if snorers don't let you sleep. The cats are relaxed and let you pet them sometimes. You can have free coffee. The washing machine and dryer are very cheap. The shower has got good pressure -although it's a bit narrow. Internet works well too.

The guesthouse is well located. Not too far from the train station; right next to a bus stop that brings you to Asahidake; and in the middle of a shopping/restaurant district (but you will hear nothing from the street). There are a lot of cooking ustensils, which is perfect in case you need to cook anything. The shareda"dry" food storage was a bit small, but you can put your food in your own locker if you don't have a lot. The beds are quite big with a platform to store our stuff. There was also a clothesline for each bed and a lot of hangers which was perfect for me because my clothes don't go in the dryer. That was really a huge plus for me. The owners was quite nice. They recommended me a sheep restaurant that was delicious.

“Central Location, near to many restaurants and cafes”
One thing that really impresses me is the centrality of the location of this hostel. Barely 10min walk to the JR Asahikawa Station and the Bus Terminal. Very convenient to move around the city. Free coffee and cereal are provided. There is also a free locker service. One of the best offers is the nearby Kazokutei restaurant which offers very affordable and delectable meal sets at less than 1,000 yen. I ate there 3 times! If you could rough it out and don’t mind paying premium price e, this can be a good option in a central location.
