This place was exceptional. The staff were amazing, as was the food and our room was first class. We love staying in more rural areas and this did not disappoint! We'll be back! We booked a double room and had a living room with an open fire and a luxurious bedroom. We'll definitely be back!

absolutely gorgeous place! i was there the only guest, but the hostess, Oksana, went few extra miles to make my stay even more comfy. The served dinner was exceptional, so was the breakfast. Room was very spacious and comfy, extremely quiet surroundings, the fireplace at night was a wonderful and welcomed highlight. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay here again.

“Magical.”
It was like stepping onto a game of thrones movie set.A magical castle awaited through a Wooden door.Up stone steps to a magical bedroom and a lit fire off a banquet hall.Owners were so friendly and presented a beautiful breakfast and dinner.A major surprise was a bath for aching Camino muscles.

“If you love history this must be the place!”
I am a travel agent and part of my work is doing site inspections, also in my leisure time like for this trip. This amazing place really impressed me as I felt the history in every corner of the building. Every room has been renovated with such great taste and attention to every single detail. The breakfast room is also really stunning, I felt to be a noble that morning. Oxana and Josè are lovely hosts and they are doing their best to preserve the history of their place, like guardians of a past and probably a better period for us today. Thank you both for making this place exist!

Our stay at O Pazo da Briona was a last minute booking and we were both surprised and excited to find such a fabulous place without any planning upfront. This accommodation is modernised grandeur done with taste and flair and the bedrooms - in fact, all the rooms - have a real WOW factor with the most comfortable bed we slept during our whole week in northern Spain. The hosts are wonderful and interesting people and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We have this place on our “must return” list and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for an overnight stay or a short break in the beautiful Galicia countryside.
