Overview
Set 80 metres from the Santiago de Compostela Pilgrimage Route and a 30-minute drive from the city, Hotel Suiza is located just outside the village of Arzúa. It features a restaurant and a garden. Each simply decorated room at Hotel Suiza has a flat-screen TV. All rooms have heating and a desk. Guests can enjoy a range of traditional Galician cuisine in the Suiza’s restaurant. There is also a bar and an attractive terrace. Arzúa has a picturesque setting in the Galician countryside, less than 15 km from Portodemouros Lake. Santiago de Compostela Airport is less than 30 km from the hotel.

Hotel advertised a restaurant. It was not open and the message received on arrival was in Spanish. Therefore, we had a 20 minute walk back into town to find a restaurant.

“Good value for money but there are better options in the town.”
I stayed here while on the camino. The staff were very helpful and friendly.Check in etc was great. Thye helped me store my bike. The hotel is a bit dated and the bar etc was not open or there no food. Breakfast was available. It is a little our of town but a 10 minute walk in wasn't a big deal.

“Lovely staff, comfortable room”
The room had a bath - with an actual PLUG - and water that went as hot as you like. The TV was a smart TV. The bed was a really big double and so comfortable, it was really difficult to get up. A selection of blankets in the wardrobe as well for those colder nights. The staff were really nice, they'd left the keys at reception for the guests to pick up which was really convenient. They had to come to my door because I had made a mess of the payment, but were so pleasant about it. Actually the room was so nice that I thought they were coming to move me to the right one! It was so clean I could have (although I didn't) eat my dinner off the floor. The towels were nice - and plentiful - and shower gel and shampoo were provided. If you are spending a night at this hotel for the camino, it's at the other end of the town from where you enter, so the next stage is about 1.5km less. Also it has a really interesting monument outside.

“Very basic hotel, but absolutely fine.”
There is nothing wrong with this hotel. The rooms are spacious, but extremely basic. The beds were fine, and so was the bathroom. It was clean too. My husband and I stayed here as part of our Camino. The hotel is not situated in the centre, so it isn't easy to buy supplies if you need them. The hotel restaurant is absolutely fine, and they offer a nice selection of food , and wine. Breakfast was included for us, and that was delicious.
