Overview
Tai Roto Bay offers spacious, authentic accommodation located on its own private beach on the southern tip from Ootu beach. It is a beach front property and safe to swim at all tides. All bungalows have a private balcony, private bathroom and equipped with self-catering facilities which includes a kitchenette, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and kitchen utensils. An open grill is also available for barbecue nights on the beach. The absolute beachfront bungalow provides an absolute stunning view of the beautiful lagoon which is right on our door step. The garden rooms including a stand alone one bedroom family room provide a partial lagoon and beach view. It is a stroll away from the most popular café, several restaurants and bars surrounding Ootu point. Scooter, bicycle & kayak rentals can be booked on site. Local activities such as lagoon cruise tours, island nights, cultural village tour, kite surfing and scuba diving can be assisted by the help desk.

“Most amazing holiday destination in Aitutaki”
The villa was lovely. It was clean and well stocked with the essentials. The location is amazing and close to a couple of really good restaurants and a lovely café. The grounds are well cared for. The breakfast provided is amazing and, best of all, the staff are awesome, helpful, friendly, and go out of their way for you. I highly recommend this establishment for all your holiday needs.

The gardens are beautiful and the lagoon is so close. Very friendly staff and the breakfasts were delicious. Great location with cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

“A truly affordable island paradise”
It is difficult to take a photo of an island paradise and do it justice. Tai Roto is a truly amazing place to stay. The staff are like one big family make you feel like you are part of it. The attention to detail with the room presentation and the breakfast served to you room each morning is fit for Kings and Queens which we certainly felt like. Yes the internet is not the best but you would spoil your holiday if you had it. There’s the Koru cafe a short walk up the road if you need access. Enjoy the isolation from the outside world..it’s truly an experience

Staying at Tai Roto Bay was the perfect addition to our once-in-a-lifetime trip to Aitutaki. Cheran and her family made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their attention to detail and thoughtful touches elevated our experience beyond expectations. The six bungalows are exactly as stunning as they appear in photos, set around a crystal-clear blue lagoon that’s simply breathtaking. Although we were initially concerned about the proximity to the airport, it ended up being no issue at all—it’s a peaceful, quiet spot. We loved the warm and welcoming airport transfers, which made our arrival stress-free. The beautifully appointed rooms were comfortable, and the well-equipped kitchen was a bonus for making homemade meals when we didn’t feel like eating out. Having an on-site scooter hire was fantastic—we were off exploring the island within minutes of landing! Cheran and her family gave us excellent recommendations for food, drinks, and activities, and they were always available to answer our questions with a smile. The bungalows were well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We left Tai Roto Bay with full hearts, feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. We can’t wait to return and will be recommending this beautiful boutique accommodation to anyone visiting the Cook Islands.

“Paradise in Paradise”
The villas are great and well furnished kitchen. We cooked many times. And they provide a lovely breakfast. They arranged everything to/from the airport which was easy. We walked nearby to rent a car and could walk to a couple places to eat (the Boat Shed and Koru cafe are both very good). They also have bikes and kayaks to use.

We were picked up on arrirval by Cheran She greeted us and our short ride to Tai Roto she told us all the info we needed to know about our stay. The grounds there are Immaculate, beautiful gardens and breath taking views of the lagoon. Our room was perfect, the bed and pillows were so comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful right down to the vanity. Staff there were all so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious.

“loved our stay”
Rooms and breakfasts were very "tropical island" style, which was done well. there was a depression like a "50 meter lap pool" in front of the villas in the lagoon that enabled one to swim whatever the tide. This suited us as would snorkel at Base 1 or near large resorts close to high tide, and swim at any time at Tai Roto. very relaxing eating or reading on the verandah of villa. We mainly self catered.

Cheran and her mum, were super hosts and managers of the Tai Roto Bay Resort. We were greeted at the airport with big smiles and beautiful personalities. Arriving at our beachfront villa took our breath away at the sight of the lagoon right out front. Welcome to Paradise. Villas was gorgeous, clean and bed super comfy with a yummy breakfast delivered daily and very private. Great local cafes and restaurants within walking distance.
