“The best experience in Arusha”

The hosts Ligia and Joshua are very kind and they are looking always for giving you the best advices to habe the best experience in the city. The house is so pretty and clean. There are 2 beautiful pets that are so friendly and lovely. Ligia helped me a lot with my luggage, letting me keep it in the house during the 4 days I went to Safari.

They helped us a lot around Arusha Dinner was good We could stay longer and not check out early because we had a late flight We loved that they have mosquito nets.

Very clean rooms and super nice hostess

I spent the night in this hostel and it was very good: comfy bed, very clean around the house and delicious breakfast. For sure I can recomand this place.

Pretty and quiet space. The host was responsive and attentive. There were two lovely dogs to guard the property.

“Home away from home in Arusha”

Nice place, quiet, clean, big comfortable rooms and big garden outside the house. Both owners were very kind and helpful. Breakfasts and dinners were great and big. For us even too much . The kids loved the garden and both dogs (kind dogs, like to cuddle). The living room is very nice too. Beds are great, everything is clean and mosquito nets are intact. But we saw no mosquitos anyway. We recommend city tour with Joshua and he can connect you with local people for example to get a cheap transfer to airport or even a safari company.

“Totally amazing”

I spent my third time in Arusha at this hostel and I was staying there for two weeks. The hostel is absolutely clean and inviting. It has beautiful rooms with very cozy beds. The area of the hostel is super quiet at night (in comparison to others), so I had really relaxing nights. Beside the friendly neighborhood, the hostelowners (Ligia & Joshwa) are very welcoming and always engaged to make you the best stay at their place. As often as possible they escorted me to the shop (next to the hostel) or to the drivers to make sure I’ll get the best prices. They were always available and helpful. Even when i needed to get picked up in the evening, they organized me a transport. After having very nice talks on the cozy terrace with Ligia in the evening, Joshwa served delicious local food for dinner. All in one I really had wonderful stay there and felt very comfortable. I absolutely can recommend this hostel and I definitely will come back.

“Very nice stay in the House of Black & White!”

We had a great stay in the House of Black and White! It is located in a small street but in a very safe neighborhood. It has a spacious garden (with two very friendly dogs and a small turtle) and great breakfast. The hosts are very welcoming, we especially enjoyed the dinner they cooked for us (Ugali). It was a lovely evening in which we learned so much about local culture and also had a lot of laughs! Part of the guesthouse revenue goes to a local NGO supporting the neighbourhood. So if you want to contribute to the local community definitely stay here.

“Amazing stay”

The house is very clean, very close to the mainroad and close to the center. They have hot water and the toilets are super clean. Very close to the mianzini supermarket. We had an amazing stay, the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a shared kitchen we could use for cooking our food bought in the supermarket. The garden is really nice for chilling and the area is really calm. I would recommend this place to anyone who is planning to visit Arusha and wants to find a centric, calm and safe place to stay.
