“Quiet oasis at excellent price in Arusha!”

We chose the Charity Hotel for our first night in Arusha as we were also staying there a few nights during our 10 days private Safari through a number of the most fascinating National Parks in Tanzania (organized by the wonderful Tanzania Pilgrimage Safaris). We had reserved one of the (huge) executive suites on the upper floor for this first night, and we got the same room free of surcharge each time we were back at the Charity during our Safari. Also, we could leave our excess baggage that wasn't needed during the safari (which, in turn, was part of a two month trip through eastern and southern Africa) - thanks again for that! The room was nice, if a bit aged, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was buffet plus a-la-carte, and was served in the wonderful garden, where we also had a few very nice dinners. The price-performance ratio is simply unbelievable, and their garden restaurant and pool are a beautiful quiet oasis in otherwise rather hectic Arusha.

“Beautiful garden and view”

There is a beautiful garden where you can chill but also eat your breakfast, lunch or dinner. The restaurant serves delicious food, you can order typical Tanzanian dishes. My room was located at the 4th floor, it had a balcony and there was a great view on the majestic Meru Mountain from there. The staff was kind and super helpful. We needed to leave the hotel before breakfast started and they prepared for us a take away box.

The hotel manager is very flexible and arranges everything possible to make you feel comfortable and welcomed.

“Worth the money”

It’s budget, but you get a lot for your money here! The bed was fantastically comfy, the bathroom was a bit of a weird set-up, but everything worked and was clean which is all you can ask for really! The only thing that could be better would be slightly newer towels and bath mats.

it was fine until some of our money went missing after the cleaners cleaned our room.

Small beautiful garden, safe parking, kitchen next to the garden (Breakfast to be improved) the channels on TV to be upgraded, very friendly and understandable staff (zero mosquitos and zero flies) and finally rooms are big (water and serviette to add)

The beds were comfy, the room was good enough, still a bit dirty, most of the staff members were really nice with helpful service.

Quiet

Excellent place for first night in Africa after long flight. 40$ for night was good price for bed, shower and breakfast for two. Not far from airport and good place to start safari.

A friendly reception. Room was clean and spacious. Staff were helpful and courteous. Lovely gardens. Everything one could expect from a good, three star hotel.
