“Very relaxed place to stay”

Good Location close to surf spot and main restaurants and meeting points. The garden is superb and the breakfast was also very good with omelette or banana pancake and juice or tea or instant coffee.

Excellent position, quiet but at the same time close to the main road and the beach. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and the place itself is very peaceful and relaxing. The food is also very good with amazing pancakes for breakfast and delicious rice and curry. Surf lessons an surf guiding also available.

“Not your ordinary homestay in Abay”

I had the most amazing stay in Salty Garden for the past 2 weeks! The staff is very friendly and give to the place a real sense of home and cool surfer vibes. They propose surf lessons, boards and scooter rental and are organizing surfing day trips in secret spots! The location is perfect, peaceful and walking distance from the beach and Main Street. The rooms are clean and renovated. Breakfast was delicious. And the puppiessssss! Most probably the best place to stay in Abay! See you soon Salty Garden :)

We had a really good time here and felt super welcomed. The bungalows were very spacious and clean. The place felt very peaceful as it lays in a side road of the main street. The staff was also kind and helpful with everything and they took a little pup from the street which was super sweet and fun!

“Best place for young travelers”

The staff was very nice and helpful. The location is great, two sweet puppies on the premises (one is kind of psychotic but in a cute way). There are boards for rent and the kitchen is very good as well. Great atmosphere in the garden :) There was even some trouble with the final payment which ended up being my fault but they were super cooperative

The room is situated in the Garden, very shady and green! It keeps the temperature down. I like that there’s a shower and an area to clean your feet with water. there’s also the restaurant which is a great place to hang out at night too!

“Cute surf bungalows in a great setting”

Honestly one of my favorite places I have stayed in so far in Sri Lanka. It's a cute bungalow village away from the main road and only a few minutes walk from the beach. Their café/restaurant just opened and everything they do is delicious as well. The 5 or so friends who run it are adorable and can give you good surf recommendations!
