We spent one night at this hotel, but unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. As local tourists, we were surprised to find that food charges were in dollars and then converted into our currency, making it inconvenient and unexpected. The food quality was poor, and even basic condiments like salt and pepper were not readily available when requested. The room lacked basic facilities—no tea maker, no TV, and overall minimal amenities provided. Additionally, the hotel's location is quite far from the beach, which was a major drawback for us. Overall, this hotel is not recommended, as the experience was far from satisfactory.

“Relaxing and tranquil”
Bhagya was an amazing host and we had such a lovely time here. The room was very comfy and well fitted. The food we ate on site was delicious and the location was very well situated on whiskey point. 100% would stay again.

“Fantastic hotel in a nice quiet location, would def recommend!”
Our room was spacious and very clean. Edrin was a fantastic host he went above and beyond for us, we were very looked after and made feel at home instantly. The dinner was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka.

“It’s not worth the price”
Staff members are friendly and ready to help. It’s a peaceful location but there is not much within walking distance (we had our Tuk Tuk so we had not problem to reach the most vibrant area).

“Peaceful stay away from the chaos”
We were so lucky to stumble across Riva del Sole. Bhagya and the staff were amazing in accommodating our last minute booking for a family of four. Our room was spacious, clean and super peaceful amongst the gardens. The staff helped us organise scooters, lagoon safaris and a tuk tuk to go and see elephants. We loved it so much here we booked an extra night. Would highly recommend for families!

Amazing staff, so friendly & helpful. The room was clean & the bed was super comfy. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and lunch, the food was delicious. Thank you to the manager who kept in touch throughout our stay, she couldn’t do enough for us. ☺️ They also have another hotel in Arugambay bay town Marine Bay which she recommended us to stay in for one night. Thank you to all the staff, you are amazing! I highly recommend staying here.

“Absolutely memorable excellent time!”
The property in itself is a clean, spacious, absolutely beautiful, peaceful ambiance and is 5mins walking distance from Whiskey Beach. Owners Bhagya and her Husband Suranga along with the rest of the staff were the most chilled and accommodating hosts we have met, going out of their way every step to make sure we had a great time. We arrived there at 3am after taking the night bus from Colombo and they arranged our transport from the bus station to the property and checkin at that time. On top of that, they were the most accommodating in ensuring we had the food we liked and any experience needed to make our stay special! My friends and I had an amazing time!
