Very nice place, close to the beach and not crowded. Surfing point is not working there, but there is another one 1km away (Pottuvil point).

The host helped me with so many things to organize itinery thank you very much breakfast was perfect for me.

The bungalows were very attractive, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. I loved the indoor/outdoor nature of the bathrooms too. The gentleman, Richard, who manages the property was incredibly kind and accommodating. He has lived in the area for a number of years and was able to answer all of our questions. He gave us recommendations for places to eat, arranged tuk-tuks for us (Suresh ~ who we then used every day for the rest of our stay) and organised surfing lessons for us. The garden is gorgeous and beautifully maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Whilst predominantly a place for surfers, due to the many breaks in the area, Pothuvil Point is a beautiful beach, very nearby, where you can swim. It also has a great cafe (Mohamed’s cafe) where you can get food, arrange a lagoon safari and rent boards. The lagoon safari was one of the highlights of our whole trip to Sri Lanka. We had a glorious stay and I would not hesitate to recommend Prime Surfers.

Warm hospitality and relaxing beach vibes – highly recommended! We felt exceptionally welcome from the moment we arrived at Prime Surfers. We visited during the early season, so it was wonderfully quiet — the perfect time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable and stayed nice and cool at night thanks to the air conditioning. Breakfast was well-prepared and satisfying each morning. Richard was a great host, offering helpful tips for dinner spots and even arranging a scooter rental for us, which made it easy to explore nearby towns and beaches. The sea here is also lovely for swimming — calm and inviting, with no big waves. All in all, a great stay and an absolute recommendation for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the coast!

- we had to wait for one hour before the room was ready - the staff was not very ready to help when the water stopped working (for one hour) - our bed was very squeeky and it kept us up at night - be ready for the fauna in the bathroom (e.g. Frogs, mosquitos, etc.)

Everything perfectly

Great place to spend some time around Arugam Bay and avoid the crowds. A few bungalows in the beautiful garden, very nice host who can help you organise everything, close to the beach. Keep in mind that this place is a little remote, so it might be convenient to rent a scooter/ tuk tuk to move around comfortably.

“Amazing! Clean, tidy and Richard is the best!”

Richard is amazing, really helpful organised us Tuk Tuk and Scooter rental for us. Breakfast was delicious each morning, option of local or western breakky. He made the stay for us! Always up for a chat and giving break recommendations for surf spots or for our next locations. Room was extremely clean and tidy. Location is perfect only a short walk to the whiskey point surf break. 100% would stay here if we come back to Sri Lanka! Thank you Richard!

The bungalows were spacious and clean. Same goes for the bathroom, which is not fully open air, but also not a closed room. Richard, the host, was nice and did his best to satisfy the guests. AC in the room was solid and working properly. The yard was tidy and cleaned daily. Breakfast was freshly prepared and good!

Great stay at Prime Surfers Bungalow. Nice relaxing garden in a great location not too far from Whiskey point and Pottuvil point. Richard was very friendly and always up for a chat. Air con worked a treat!

“Basic but nice and peaceful in an otherwise noisy party area of SL”

The staff is friendly and the environment is quiet. They accommodated my request to be closer to the WiFi router to be able to work and helped us book a scooter and indicated how to get to the next location via bus.

Nice place in a quiet area but still close to the beach, Richard creates a good atmosphere during the breakfast and the day with chill music and good conversation, 👍

This place is like a dream, an oasis right next to the beach amidst two famous surf points, owner and staff are friendly and helpful, one of the most beautiful places that we went in our trip,we saw an elephant 🐘 walking distance with this place in lagoon, Room s are perfectly designed and nice open bathroom. Also you can rent a scooter or tuktuk directly with them. Completely we enjoyed.

Calm,friendly place, located near to Whiky & pottuvil point, great hosts, I feel like home.you can book some surf lessons at hotel with a friendly professional teacher.

Richard is the good soul of the bungalow :) we really loved the stay at prime surfers bungalow. It was really kind that he arranged many things for us we needed in the whole 5 days we stayed. We would visit prime surfers bungalow again, especially to see Richard ;)
