Nice welcome with cold water and sweet cake after a long drive is really appreciated room was good with AC and mosquito net very close to the beach in a nice neighborhood

The location was perfectly between the main street of Arugam Bay and the beach with both ends of the town easily walkable. There could have been a little more storage in the room for clothes but there's plenty of places to hang clothes outside. Mohammed was fantastic, really nice, welcoming and attentive. Great to talk to!

Absolutely everything. A beautiful accommodation in well kept pretty surroundings. Mohammed is amazing and organised and helped us during our stay. We were lucky to get some of his famous cake. It was yum. If we were to return to Arugam Bay, we would only stay here.

Our stay at Lucky Bay has been the best experience we've had on our holiday. The room is very comfortable, and has a lovely terrace which is perfect to relax in after a long day out. The location could not be better, it is a literal 10 second walk to the beach and is ideally located to all necessary amenities, e.g. restaurants , bars, supermarkets, ATMs, etc. Our experience would not have been possible without Lucky Bay's extremely kind and tireless host, Mohammed, who is attentive to his guests' every needs. Mohammed organised our travel to Arugam Bay, and to the airport, he also arranged for our surf lessons, and the excursions we were interested in. Mohammed does not overcharge or take a commission on any of these services, he simply provides you the best price and best person for the job. We surfed with the best surf school in Arugam Bay, and he was even kind enough to assist with getting a special massage for my partner's sprained ankle. Finally, we cannot forget the complimentary delicious treats Mohammed delivers everyday, which are freshly baked by his kind mother. Lucky Bay is really the only option to choose when deciding where to stay in Arugam Bay!

Our stay at Lucky Bay Guesthouse in a bungalow was amazing. So it deserves a 5⭐️ rating. It has been the best accomodation in Sri Lanka and Mohammed is truly the best host you could think of. Here are our highlights: - Mohammed will help with everything you need (from surf lessons to scooter rental). - Rooms super clean with great mosquito net over the bed. Spacious and clean bathrooms. - Only 1 minute (!!!) walk to the super nice beach. - Great terrace with chairs and table + nice hammock in front of each bungelow. - Nice garden and everything looks beautiful. - Only short walk to nice restaurants and shops. - Often super nice cake from Mohammed's mum. Thanks so much Mohammed for this great experience. We can highly recommend you and your place ❤️

Mohammad was a lovely host and very proud of his property, it is very clean and tidy. It is also off the noise from the main road and away from the noise of the beach bars. A short 20 min walk along the beach to main point surf break. Beds are super large, rooms with air-conditioning.

Mohammed was the most welcoming host. He always made sure we had everything we needed and helped us book surfing lessons with the school next door. We were given lovely home made cake from Mohammed’s mother and the property is in an excellent location for the beach. The property is well kept and picturesque.

Mohammed is a very friendly and accomodating host. He takes great care of the accomodation and the beautiful garden and surprises you from time to time with tasty pastries made by his mother. We booked a few trips (surfing lesson, safari, tuktuk) via Mohammed and everything worked perfectly. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Great few days at Mohamed's place. Very clean and well kept. Place seems only a few years old. Super cool and quiet A/C, fan, rooms are good size campared to others. Simple clean bathroom with good shower. Nice veranda to chill after beach time. Free tea/ coffee. Lovely lush gardens well tended to daily. Located on quiet end of town with best swimming beach only a few steps away. Mohamed is very courteous and can arrange anything- tuk tuk, transfers, laundry. He arranged surf lessons at Elephant Rock mutiple days with tuk tuk pick up right from Lucky Bay. Perfect spot for us to chillout after a busy few weeks traveling around this beautiful country.

We had a very nice stay at Lucky Bay! The hotel is a small family run hotel only a few meters away from the sea. The rooms are clean and comfy, also the is a beautiful garden. The owner Mohammed is very friendly and helped us arrange our surfing trips. Can fully recommend staying here :)

“Great Stay in Arugam Bay”

We had an amazing stay at Lucky Bay ! The hotel consists of several bungalows almost directly next to the sea. The Bungalows are surrounded by a beautiful garden. The highlight however was the host Mohammed, who was very friendly and very supportive in organising everything we wanted to do in Arugam Bay. Can only recommend staying here !
