I Really enjoyed my stay here. I would say it’s the best hostel I’ve been so far. It’s the most social and a good place to meet friends. Although the Manager Hasha makes the best Family Dinner you could possibly ask for!!!

Best place ever in Abay if you are traveling alone, the staff is super, they help me a lot in different situations, and then there is Nilhan (Uncle) always jocking and lauphing with us, and also coming to the party as one of us, in the mornig is always ready to get your breakfast, and always ready to put some good music from the speakers. I met a real family in this hostel, a big group for more than two weeks. We enjoy a lot with pre party at the hostel and having bonefire at the beach with fireworks. Now that i’m writing i’m going to Ella but i’ll be back at Hangover hostel in few days beacuse i can’t leave that crazy place! Love Hangover hostel Love my family with whom i lived there 🥲❤️

“The best hostel”

I don't normally write reviews but this time it's necessary because without a doubt the best hostel in all of Sri Lanka, we came for 2 nights and stayed 5, it has a perfect atmosphere to meet and interact with people, it's half a minute from the beach and they organize safaris, surf classes, family dinners, parties... but the best of all is the affection with which they have received us. The host “Uncle” is an amazong person who always cares about all the guests. I will sincerely miss everyone. See you next year

Such a lovely hostel, we stayed here for 5 days and the staff went above and beyond for us. They were so kind, helpful and made us feel so safe. Nilhan was always making sure we were okay and they always made sure we were involved in all the social aspects the hostel run. They had two cute dogs and the most adorable cat Main point 🫶🏼

Can highly recommend Hangover! The staff are very accomodating and went to the trouble to meeting me for my arrival on the late night bus. Would like to particularly thank Renee for the best recommendations in town and making sure I had a great time! The location is on the beach and the room air con is a bonus.

Great location for surfing and quite close to the main strip, easily walkable however we had mopeds. Rooms were very nice with AC and very clean. Sinna and Sudhat were great staff, and were very helpful.

Amazing clean hostel with great facilities, Phillip and his staff are incredible and ensure everyone has the best time and are as comfortable as possible during their stay. The hostel has a great vibe and atmosphere with amazing nightly activities also held.

The people who stay here are all very nice, thanks to the volunteer we also did group things. The shower drain was clogged, this was fixed quickly after reporting. Bedlinnen was clean. Staff was helpful.
