The people running Freedom beach are the biggest legends you will ever meet. Krish, Samathi and the rest of the staff made our stay the best holiday we have ever had. Location could not be better, so close to main point and epic breakfast next door.

The best place to stay in Arugam! Hotel has the best restaurant and surf school, service is very high level, very friendly and chill in the same time. In love with a family who rules the hotel and restaurant. They have good coffee and you can drink there even flat white) 2 min to the surf spot. Highly recommend Freadom Beach hotel, Samanthi's food (my favourite place in the city) and Krish surf shack surfing school.

The owner was very friendly, but the rest of the staff was not very welcoming. The place is right at the main beach, with a few food options around.

I had a fantastic stay at Freedom Beach Arugam Bay! The staff, especially Krish, who manages the place and also runs a surf school next door, was incredibly supportive and friendly throughout my stay. Krish's surfing expertise and enthusiasm added a special touch to the experience. The room was average in terms of amenities, but considering the value for money, it was a solid choice. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a laid-back beach getaway with great staff and surfing opportunities.

Me and my friend came for 3 night, and eventually stayed for the hole month. Krish samanthis and the crew are amazing, they made us delisius food and make us feel like were part of the family. Highly recomended place Would defenetly come back next time im in arugam bay

“If you're looking for good vibes and a homely feel, this is the place to be.”
Cozy place just in front of the beach. It's a lovely family business with a special kinda charm. The season was just getting started when I stayed there, so not everything was running super smooth yet, but they all went out of their way to make sure everything was ok for me. This is something I truly appreciate.

“Best place to stay in the bay!”
Lovely and cosy family run guesthouse. Amazing value for money and the best location in the bay. You are right near the entrance to baby/main point and there are places to eat on either side. So convenient, we loved the village feel of arugam bay, it is such a special place on earth. The sunrises are magical. We would definitely stay again!!

“Home away from home!”
We stayed at freedom for the 2 months we lived in Arugam Bay and can confidently say I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else! Such a good location right on the beach, close to main point.. which was perfect to roll out of bed and into the surf. The other guests staying at the time were so beautiful and truly felt like our own little community within the freedom cabanas. Krish is an absolute legend, as were the guys at the restaurant and Uncle was always keeping things clean! The only place we will be staying whenever we come back... Thankyou guys. X

“Perfect stay, perfect location, great staff!”
“Perfect location, super close to the “Main Point” Staff was kind, friendly and helpful for any questions we had for them. There is also a surf shack so we got to rent professional surfing boards for free. The rooms are big and clean! Would definitely recommend and come here again! 🙏🏻
